Hello, Hivers and members of the community C/Amazing Nature. This is my entry for this week's contest, Amazing Nature Contest - October 2021 - #02 and it's also my first entry into this community. So I thought about giving you a glimpse of how nature is like in my city.
I live in Caracas, Venezuela, and perhaps those who have never been here when hearing about Caracas think of many adjectives, congested, chaotic, noisy, sometimes violent, and other times unkind to its inhabitants. But Caracas is also a city blessed by nature. A valley surrounded by mountains in which El Avila stands out majestically. This mountain is the lung of the city.
El Ávila, the lung of the city Caracas has an enviable climate and is a city full of vegetation. Many of its streets are tree-lined, and there are many parks and green areas where you can be in contact with nature. Perhaps one of the largest and best-known parks in the middle of the city is the Parque del Este, which has approximately 64 hectares of green areas. And of which at another time I can give you a virtual tour.
In the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city you can be in contact with nature and enjoy the vegetation and look the number of birds that usually fly the sky in this area.

Trees and flowers
Thanks to the climate in Caracas, tropical flowers and flowering trees grow very well.
Some of the flowers and vines that can be found in the city and that surprise us with their beauty.

Hibiscus (we called them here Cayena) / Bougainvillea (we called them here Trinitarias) Perhaps the most emblematic tree is the Araguaney, but at this time of the year they aren't in flower. But we can enjoy the Acacias or these trees like the one in the photo below, whose flowers seem to be made of crepe paper.

One of the things I like about Caracas is the number of birds that cross its skies. In the morning, we wake up with the singing of the guacharacas (chachalacas).
There are many species of birds. And some are so friendly that they visit you often during the day.
But perhaps, the most waited visitors in Caracas afternoons on some balconies and rooftops are the macaws. It's common seeing them crossing the sky of the city. In the afternoons, before sunset, they use to perch on the balconies and rooftops. And many are received and fed.

Sunsets in Caracas are short, but they are usually very colorful.

Hola Hivers y miembros de la comunidad C/Amazing Nature. Esta es mi entrada para el concurso de esta semana, Amazing Nature Contest - October 2021 - #02 y también es mi primera entrada en esta comunidad. Así que pensé en darte una idea de cómo es la naturaleza en mi ciudad.
Yo vivo en Caracas, Venezuela, y quizás los que nunca han estado aquí cuando escuchan hablar de Caracas piensan en muchos adjetivos, congestionada, caótica, ruidosa, a veces violenta y otras veces cruel con sus habitantes. Pero Caracas también es una ciudad bendecida por la naturaleza. Un valle rodeado de montañas en el que El Ávila se destaca majestuoso. Esta montaña es el pulmón de la ciudad.
El Ávila, el pulmón de la ciudad Caracas tiene un clima envidiable y es una ciudad llena de vegetación. Muchas de sus calles están arboladas y hay muchos parques y áreas verdes donde estar en contacto con la naturaleza. Quizás uno de los parques más grandes y conocidos de la ciudad es el Parque del Este, que cuenta con aproximadamente 64 hectáreas de áreas verdes. Y del que en otro momento les puedo dar un recorrido virtual.
En medio del bullicio de la ciudad puedes estar en contacto con la naturaleza y disfrutar de la vegetación y observar la cantidad de aves que suelen volar por el cielo en esta zona.
Parque del Este, Caracas Pero también hay muchos otros pequeños parques en la ciudad donde se puede disfrutar de la naturaleza. Se puede decir que en Caracas, el verde siempre está a la vista.

Gracias al clima en Caracas se dan muy bien las flores tropicales y los árboles floridos.
Algunas de las flores y enredaderas que se pueden encontrar en la ciudad y que nos sorprenden con su belleza.

Pero podemos disfrutar de las Acacias o de estos árboles como el de la foto de abajo, cuyas flores parecen estar hechas de papel crepé.

Una de las cosas que me gusta de Caracas es la inmensa cantidad de aves que surcan sus cielos. En las mañanas te levantas con el canto de las guacharacas. Hay muchas especies de pájaros y algunos son tan amigables que te visitan a menudo durante el día.
Pero quizás, los visitantes más esperados en las tardes de Caracas en algunos balcones y azoteas son las guacamayas, que surcan el cielo de la ciudad con frecuencia y en la tardes se posan en los balcones donde muchas son recibidas para ser alimentadas.
Atardeceres
En Caracas los atardeceres duran poco pero suelen ser muy coloridos.
