Esta semana en el ambulatorio donde presto atención primaria, hemos tenido una visita muy particular. En mi ciudad ha habido días de fuertes lluvias, por lo que todas aquellas criaturas que viven en la naturaleza alrededor del ambulatorio, buscan refugio en su interior, entre ellas esta pequeña rana blanca.

Este amiguito anfibio es conocido como Rana Bananera de Ojos Pálidos, la verdad es que pasó desapercibida durante mucho tiempo porque estaba camuflada, ya que la pared donde estaba, también es blanca, fue una sorpresa encontrarla, a la vez que causó ternura en el personal de la clínica, ya que estaba totalmente dormido.

The next day, this frog had woken up, but as I still did not know it had this characteristic, I thought I was in the presence of another different frog that had appeared, since the color of its skin was a little green.
Otra característica llamativa es la forma de su pupila en forma horizontal, con un color un poco más oscuro que su piel. Esta rana estaba un poco lejos de su hogar, ya que suelen ser arborícolas, por lo que podrían trepar varios metros de altura, sin embargo hay un grupo que son acuáticas y terrestres.

En cuanto a su alimentación, consumen mayormente insectos que se acercan a su espacio, aunque se ha descrito que también se alimentan de ciertos vertebrados.

Debido a las invasiones y construcciones realizadas por el ser humano al medio ambiente, provoca un gran problema ambiental; ya que genera una reducción de la diversidad biológica de esta familia, causada por el cambio experimentado por su hábitat, por lo que es necesario resaltar la importancia de estos anfibios, ya que representan un grupo importante de organismos, indispensables para el mantenimiento de los sistemas biológicos.
Due to the invasions and constructions made by humans to the environment, it causes a great environmental problem; since it generates a reduction of the biological diversity of this family, caused by the change experienced by their habitat, so it is necessary to highlight the importance of these amphibians, since they represent an important group of organisms, indispensable for the maintenance of biological systems.
Las fotografías que capturé en el momento en que se despertó, me pusieron muy nervioso, ya que temía que saltara y se cayera encima de mí, sin embargo en todo momento se mantuvo completamente quieto lo que facilitó la captura de las fotos y la admiración de su belleza.
The photographs I captured the moment he woke up, made me very nervous, as I was afraid he would jump and fall on top of me, however at all times he remained completely still which made it easy to capture the photos and admire his beauty.
