📸LA FOTO DEL DÍA📷
Buenas noches mis queridas abejitas, espero estén muy bien. Hoy quería traerles LA FOTO DEL DÍA, y qué mejor que una de las que saqué en mis viajes.
Esta foto fue tomada en el año 2019, en enero exactamente cuando fui por segunda vez a Cabo Polonio, un lugar icónico en la Costa del Uruguay. Y se preguntarán porqué es icónico, pues porque es un balneario que forma parte de un PARQUE NACIONAL llamado igual: CABO POLONIO, ubicado en el departamento de ROCHA.
El Cabo tiene dos playas separadas por un faro, ya se los mostraré en otras fotos, y en frente hay tres islas que se llaman Islas de Torres, las cuales están pobladas por Lobos Marinos, y se reconoce como Reserva Natural, bellísimo!.
Al Cabo se llega:
- En auto o bus hasta la entrada, y de ahí debes pagar para subir a unos camiones areneros que van por entre las dunas hasta llegar al Cabo, al balneario.
- En barco, lancha o alguna embarcación. De hecho se dice que se llama así por un Naufragio que hubo y el barco se llamaba así: POLONIO. Hay otras versiones también.
- Y caminando, porque a unos pocos kilómetros se encuentra el balneario VALIZAS, y se hace una caminata panorámica donde se cruza el arroyo Valizas para comenzar la travesía al Cabo Polonio. El camino son unos 8-10 kilómetros y se puede optar ir por entre las dunas de arena o bordeando la costa.
Yo hice ambas travesías, en la primera cometí errores que en la segunda no, pero en la segunda cometí errores que en la primera no. Es decir: En la primer experiencia que fui por entre las dunas, fui con zapatillas por más que el camino era entre arena la mayor parte pero fui muy desprotegida del sol, lo que me llené de ampollas en mis hombros por el sol tan fuerte que hacía y yo sin protector solar.
En la segunda experiencia que fui por la costa, me aseguré de protegerme del sol con una camiseta con factor 50 que me regaló mi mamá meses antes para mi viaje a Bahamas y para estas ocasiones, me puse protección además en el rostro y piernas, pero lo que iba por la playa, caminando al lado de las olas, me saqué las zapatillas o ¨Championes¨ como dicen aquí en Uruguay y cuando llegué tenía unas ampollas en los pies, y me dolían muchísimo porque no usé calzado.
Asique amigos, si andan por Uruguay les recomiendo que conozcan este hermoso lugar en Rocha, uno de los únicos lugares donde no hay luz eléctrica y donde se puede ver el cielo con una claridad única. Ya que prácticamente no hay contaminación lumínica de luces artificiales, casi todos tienen iluminación con fuego, muy artesanal, muy rústico, muy bello.

Y si te preguntas, ¿Cómo es que hay caballos? es porque hay gente que vive todo el año ahí y necesita moverse a los balnearios más cercanos a buscar providencias, por cuestiones de salud o lo que sea y necesita una movilidad.
Lo más hermoso de la foto creo que además del paisaje, es el pajarito que está en el lomo del caballo.

Good night my dear little bees, I hope you are very well. Today I wanted to bring you PICTURE A DAY, and what better than one of the ones I took in my travels.
This photo was taken in the year 2019, in January exactly when I went for the second time to Cabo Polonio, an iconic place on the Uruguay Coast. And you will wonder why it is iconic, because it is a spa that is part of a NATIONAL PARK called the same: CABO POLONIO, located in the department of ROCHA.
The Cape has two beaches separated by a lighthouse, I will show them in other photos, and in front there are three islands called Torres Islands, which are populated by Sea Wolves, and are recognized as a Natural Reserve, beautiful!
The Cape is reached:
- By car or bus to the entrance, and from there you must pay to get on some sand trucks that go through the dunes until you reach the Cape, the spa.
- By boat, boat or any boat. In fact, it is said that it is named after a Shipwreck that was there and the ship was called thus: POLONIO. There are other versions as well.
- And walking, because a few kilometers away is the VALIZAS spa, and a panoramic walk is made where the Valizas stream is crossed to begin the journey to Cabo Polonio. The road is about 8-10 kilometers long and you can choose to go through the sand dunes or along the coast.
I did both journeys, in the first I made mistakes that in the second I did not, but in the second I made mistakes that in the first I did not. That is to say: In the first experience that I went through the dunes, I went with sneakers even though the path was sand for the most part but I was very unprotected from the sun, which I got blisters on my shoulders from the sun so strong that did and I without sunscreen.
In the second experience that I went to the coast, I made sure to protect myself from the sun with a T-shirt with factor 50 that my mother gave me months before for my trip to the Bahamas and for these occasions, I also put protection on my face and legs, but what was going on the beach, walking next to the waves, I took off my slippers or ¨Championes¨ as they say here in Uruguay and when I arrived I had blisters on my feet, and they hurt a lot because I did not wear shoes.
So friends, if you are in Uruguay, I recommend that you visit this beautiful place in Rocha, one of the only places where there is no electricity and where you can see the sky with a unique clarity. Since there is practically no light pollution from artificial lights, almost all of them have fire lighting, very handmade, very rustic, very beautiful.

And if you wonder, how come there are horses? It is because there are people who live there all year round and need to move to the nearest spas to seek providences, for health reasons or whatever, and need mobility.
The most beautiful thing in the photo, I think, in addition to the landscape, is the little bird on the horse's back.
