Today, 22. May, is the infamous #BitcoinPizzaDay! It is the anniversary of Laszlo Hanyecz's infamous purchase of a Pizza for 10,000 Bitcoins in May 2010.
Needless to say, this has become quite the meme due to Bitcoin's incredible rise in price since then, taking the price of that Pizza to roughly $400,000,000 had he HODLed them today. That said, it is also worth adding that without early pioneers like Laszlo, Bitcoin may have never reached today's price levels anyways. So calling it "a mistake" may not be correct. It should also be needless to say that I'm insisting on having Pizza today😎.
However, I prefer buying my Pizza with fiat shitcoins, and then share the experience and thoughts on Hive and it's various communities to earn crypto rather than spending it. Perhaps more crypto lovers should do the same?😉
