The past doesn't matter. You are not your past...

ā£ā£
@ryzeonline's POV:ā£ā£
ā£ā£
I was only a minor fan of Sasha Grey's porn, but I love what she's done for society.ā£ā£
ā£ā£
I love that she made a huge splash in the adult industry. And pushed boundaries. And did it fast. And grew into other fields. Mainstream acting. Directing. Modeling. Music. Fiction. I love that she's collab'd with Steven Soderbergh & Terry Richardson.ā£ā£
ā£ā£
A stunning body of work. ;)ā£ā£
ā €ā£ā£
What's amazing about her is that she did it with self-awareness, precision, & intellect rarely expressed by pornstars.ā£ā£
ā €ā£ā£
Firstly, she chose a field often dismissed as fluff. Then she made it abundantly clear that she loves it, takes pride in it, & is happy to build her empire off it.ā£ā£
ā£ā£
And when she moved on, she re-defined herself. Smoothly & easily.ā£ā£
ā£ā£
So ask yourself, how clearly do you proclaim your love for things? Do you do it enough to be labeled and own it? Are you as in people's face about it as Sasha? How boldly do you step up to taboos?ā£
ā£
For example, I've not posted photos of multiple girls being intimate together. But it's one of my fave fantasies. I also rarely post about @leagueoflegends, but it's my favorite game.ā£ā£
ā£ā£
Sasha's open adoration of extreme dominance & submission didn't hurt her career, it made it. And then she went beyond it. Once you realize you have the power to do the same, you're free to succeed in any field.ā£ā£
ā£ā£
You can go from a 'Talking Head' to a Movie-Director. You can go from a YouTuber to a Fashion Icon. You can go from an Artist to a Supermodel. And you can win at all of them.ā£ā£
ā£ā£
It's easier than most think. Just embrace your stereotypes. If you're nerdy, nerd more. If you cuss, cuss louder. If you strip, strip extreme. Find the most taboo thing about yourself... & use it.ā£ā£
ā£ā£
Use it on your posts, your videos, your tags, your wardrobe, your website. Everything.ā£ā£
ā£ā£
Make a splash and a 'sordid' past, & don't let it define you.ā£ā£

ā£ā£
I was a drug addict. I'm twice divorced and have 3 kids with 3 different fathers. I no longer speak to my oldest child and don't know 2 of my 4 grandkids. ā£ā£
ā£ā£
And this makes people talk shit about me. They judge me and tsk tsk behind my back. But I still share them and don't really gaf if people talk about me. Like they always say...' there's no such thing as bad press.' ā£ā£
ā£ā£
I'm a kind, generous, nurturing, loving, helpful, nerdy, submissive Latina 'Self-Help Bimbo'. ā£ā£
ā£ā£
Will people judge me for it? Sure. Do I care anymore? No.ā£ā£
ā£ā£
My past is in the past and like Sasha here says...it does not define who I am. ā£ā£
ā£ā£
Do I share myself loud and proud like Sasha? Not yet but I'm getting there. It's taken me a long time to let go of the fear of being my true self on social media. While I've done it on Instagram...I've not done it much on other platforms (well I have here on Hive lol).

Do I care if some people unfollow me for posting a photo of a pornstar and admitting who I truly am? Nope. Those people are afraid and want to have people around them who are also afraid of being themselves. They don't belong in my feed or friends list. ā£ā£
ā£ā£
So don't let your past define who you are today. Be yourself... loudly and proudly. ā£ā£

This post was shared on FB & IG too (with all the plagiarism issues going on I feel like I ought to say this but it's annoying because it's mine and Jay's original work).
