Hoy les haré un breve y simplificado resumen de los inicios de la Aviacion, su historia se remonta al día en el que el ser humano prehistórico se detuvo a observar el vuelo de las aves y de otros animales voladores. Ese deseo de volar continua presente en la humanidad desde hace siglos, y a lo largo de la historia del ser humano hay constancia de intentos de volar que han acabado mal; desde los hermanos Wright en su Flyer I, el 17 de diciembre de 1903 en Kitty Hawk (Carolina del Norte), hasta el reconocido Santos Dumont, el brasileño considerado el Padre de la Aviación, por su pionero vuelo en una aeronave autopropulsada más pesada que el aire. La hazaña tuvo lugar en el Campo de Bagatelle, en París, el 23 de octubre de 1906.
Entre tantos intentos fallidos y otros con muy buenos avances, tenemos a la Primera Aerolínea fundada en la aviación mundial. Fue en 1919 en Holanda o Países Bajos como también se le conoce. Fue "socia" y ductora de la Aerolínea Venezolana Internacional de Aviación Sociedad Anónima (VIASA) en sus inicios y desarrollo.
Así se escribe en el idioma Neerlandes, lo cual es impronunciable para los de habla castellana. Mas fácil por sus siglas KLM.
