I'm 'not' a nocturnal creature : Sleep is my therapy.

I think for most of us the best time of the day is when we wind up everything and head of to our bed for a sleep. Sleep is essential for us to relax our body and mind. It's important for our health and well being to take a sound sleep. This helps our body and support healthy brain function, it also adds up to maintain our physical health. For a healthy human being the recommended sleeping time is 7-8 hours, while for a students it is about 5-6 hours. The sleeping needs vary from individual to individuals. For me, sleeping is as essential as food and water. And I make sure to sleep every dsy, leaving apart all the worries and life problems away.

There are time that, I have to adjust a little to take a proper sleep. My main sleeping issue lies at my home. I am more comfortable to take a sound sleep at home than anywhere outside. I am addicted to my bed or room as such. I just feel more relaxed at home and quickly get into sleep. But at the same when I have to visit some places or to some relative homes, it takes me time to adjust with the atmosphere. I think this applies to everyone, and quite natural. We alwsys feel little differrnt at other place, which does not allow us to get a sleep. Even if we get a sleep, then it is not necessary that it will be a regular one. It might be broken sleep or we wake bit early than usual. These things alwsys happens to me.

The other time when I find it difficult to sleep is when, I get too exhausted. I remember during my sister marriage, I was too occupied. And at the end of the day, it was pretty hard to get sleep. I went to bed at 10 PM, but unable to find sleep. And by the time I find sleep, it was already a day , which made me too exhausted. I think such kind of issue is far better than those who were suffered from insomania or sleep walking or any other effects. One thing is also important that when a person feel like sleeping, they must take a break and take a short nap. It usually refreshes the mind and makes our body relax.

An interesting case that I like to highlight here is that, once I read somewhere that, "some people believe that waking up at 2 AM, or between 2 – 3 AM, means someone is watching you. This time period is considered as witching hour, or the devil's hour, when supernatural things happen".
I am not sure how much truth is in this, but I experince such things before my Dads demise. Before the D' day, I used to wake up automatically without any sound or disturbances. It happened for a number of day. It was an instant body reaction. I find myself in a complete piece of silence. And in few days, My Dad died. People in my area belief that the soul hunter used to roam on earth before they take away someone breath. So this angle might seems very possible in my case.

Those were phase that gone by, and now I am more regular to my sleep. I follow a strict routine. I have a fixed time to hit the bed and also leaving it in morning and never let to hamper it by any chances except at certain stances.

Just to add on, for a sound sleep, make sure to keep all the distraction of mobile and social media away.

This is my Day 14 entry to Inleo Writing Prompt for the m/o April.

Peace!!
