Blessed and grateful at 35

Looking back to your life, can you say you are blessed enough to thank God for the life you have right now?

It was 2:40 in the morning of August 14, 1988, a cute baby girl was born. She brought happiness to a little home and a smile to her parents face.

She grow up with love and care of parents without many riches but full of support.

Time flies so fast that she now turns 35 and writing right now. Yes! It's me! It's my 35th birthday today.

Looking back in my 35 years, life brought me ups and downs, happiness and sadness, joy and sorrow, laughter and tears that made me who I am right now.

35 years is a blessing.

As a child I am not blessed to have rich parents in terms of financial but I am so blessed for their love and discipline molding me to who I am right now.

As an eldest, I am not blessed to do and to have what I want but I am blessed to be a blessing to my sibling. I am blessed to be a good example to them.

As a student, I am not blessed to be given by all my wants but I am bless with knowledge and wisdom to pursue my education despite of the trials and challenges in life.

As an employee, I am not blessed to have a regular job but I am blessed with motherhood whose job is not just regular but forever. I am blessed to be a mother to a little boy.

As a wife, I am not blessed with a romantic husband but I am blessed with a responsible one.

Life is not perfect as we say, but it can be perfect if we only look at those perfect sides. Look what is brighter, look what is purer and appreciate everything that you have and you will be happier.

Today, I am not blessed to have a lot of foods to enjoy with family and friends but I am so blessed and grateful for having this day. This day marks my 35 years of existence here on earth and indeed it is a blessing because others didn't make it until today.

As I did my morning walk, jog and exercise early this morning, I felt so blessed that I was able to see the sunshine, I was able to enjoy the nature, I was able to bond with my son, I was able to walk, jog and run, I was able to feel the cool breeze of the air, I was able to smell the freshness of the earth after the rain, I was able to hear the birds twitting and above all I have a good health.

Thinking about those things really made me feel so grateful and blessed. I told myself, I don't have any reason to murmur because God gave a lot of reasons to be thankful and happy on my birthday. Sometimes we cannot see them, we cannot realized about them but if we do, we will be grateful.

The almighty gave me the gift of life, the gift of family, the gift of friends, the gift of health, the gift of knowledge and wisdom.

I am so blessed at 35.
