Capturing light

Capturing light isn't always easy. Some people suffer such setbacks that it's difficult to see anything but darkness, but light always exists within the gloom.

It's reasonably easy to be negative and so many people are.

It's pointless to explain how to be negative, you all know how to do it and you've all done it at some stage of your life for one reason or another; you were probably really good at it because it doesn't take much effort at all. No, I'm not pointing the finger at you and indicating I've never been negative myself, I have and might be in the future as well; like I said, it happens to all of us and sometimes there's compelling reasons or justifications for it.

I don't like people who are blindly positive.

I say blindly because they tend never to have a clearly defined plan (with a set goal at the end of that plan) to move forward with. They say things like, it'll work out eventually, and, what will be will be, or if it doesn't work out it'll be ok, and they may actually luck into a result but typically without some sort of plan and action things don't work out, they just happen by chance and I'm not sure living by chance is a viable way to get through life.

I think it's important to be positive, to see the light at the end of the tunnel and to make plans and actions to go ahead and capture it. Just being positive isn't enough without the rest.

Capturing the light at the end of the tunnel...gaining a good result...That shit isn't just going to do itself, you have to do it, and by having a goal, a plan to reach it and the grit to do what's required, a person can be left feeling incredibly positive about what's to come including the journey and end result. Bad things may happen along the way, a person could also feel negative, challenged, out of one's depth and uncomfortable along the way but with a solid plan, determination, flexibility and discipline they're soon back on track towards that goal. It's the goal and plan that feeds positivity along the way.

Capturing light isn't always easy; some people suffer such setbacks that it's difficult to see anything but darkness.

I'm not talking about a downvote on Hive folks, that shit simply doesn't fucken matter, I'm talking about a knock on the door by a policeman to advise that your husband has just blown his head off with a shotgun; that happened to a friend of mine a few years ago. That's a setback, that's darkness and that's when negativity could be justified. Life happens and sometimes it's fucken brutal. But, with the right plan, the right support and the right action light usually appears and moving that way with the intention of finally capturing it usually means one does, or at least one pushes back the darkness just a little and that can motivate and bring momentum.

Being negative is destructive and being blindly positive is wasteful of one's energy. Feeling one (negative) and using that to feel the other (positive) about the result that's possible in the future, and the journey towards it, is a far better way to motivate and leave a person in the right place to move things forward more positively, and that's positive.
