API3 token sale coming. Chainlink competitor on the horizon?

API3 goes on sale November 30th on DEX Mesa.
Pre-sale starts on November 30, ends on December 14. 20 million API3 tokens will be available for sale.
Original price $ 0.3, up to $ 2.0.
Venture funds represented by Placeholder, Pantera Capital, Accomplice, CoinFund, Digital Currency Group, and Hashed decided to bet on a competitor to Chainlink - Oracle API3. API3 raised $ 3 million for 10% of the company's tokens with venture funds vesting for 2 years. Let's denote the API3 estimate by VC metrics as $ 30 million for the full capitalization of the project. Chainlink is now valued at $ 4.89 billion. If the product turns out to be worthy, then the potential for growth is enormous. 20% of the total token supply (20M API3) will be sold to the public.API3.png

API3 is a DAO-controlled protocol - an oracle, the fundamental difference of which from Chainlink (Third-party oracles) will be the creation of a system of primary data providers (First-party oracles). To eliminate the possibility of data manipulation attacks called middleman attacks, it is proposed to deploy oracles based on Airnode in the network, i.e. serverless oracles based on services such as Infura, for example. API3 Oracle can keep Airnode online indefinitely and completely free using the free Infura plan and free AWS hosting. In fact, this complete freedom is a key component of how API3 plans to build an ecosystem of hundreds of their own oracles.
