Greetings Friends of this beautiful community of @mundo.autismo I join again this #iniciativazul promoted by this wonderful mother @parauri, where we will talk about autism, how we understand or live it, I from my little blue world, I will answer these questions.
1.- What do you understand by autism?
According to what I have experienced with my son and what has been explained to me by the experts I have attended seeking to know and give my son a better life, autism is a delay in neurological development, but what I see in my son is a child with a great capacity for conversation, a transparent child with no malice, innocent, honest, loving and with a great capacity for analysis.
Autism for me is just a way of seeing the world, to see things in a different way than the common one. Of course there are different types of autism and in my son's case his autism is mild, so some situations such as irritability, routines have been bearable...
Does autism have a cure or improvements?
Well, according to my experience, as my son has been growing up, the tantrums have diminished, the stereotyped movements I could say that he no longer shows them, he has improved his eye contact, although sometimes a stranger talks to him and shows himself observing the environment, sometimes not the person, but it also has to do with the space, if it is unknown to him too, he has improved his social relations, he socializes with his classmates in the classroom....
Now, does it have a cure, well no, it is a lifelong condition, what can evolve certain aspects, as he grows up.
There are situations in which the children have setbacks, and they can also be related to the environment where they are, I think we should always look for ways for our children to explore, knowing new things that help them to advance little by little...
3.- What level of autism do you know?
I know three types of autism:
Mild or grade 1 is one of the most bearable autisms so to speak, but they also need help to improve certain aspects, because in the case of my son who has this grade, he also has ADHD, he has flexible ligaments, so he also needs psycho-pedagogical treatments, to work on his concentration, his fine motor skills, among other attentions to improve his life.
Grade 2, in this case I understand that children progressively lose their acquired skills, and one of the most noticeable is when they stop talking, it is one of the most visible characteristics.
Grade 3 being the most compromised of all the grades, where it requires much more help than the others.
4.- How have you helped the autistic person in your care?
I have tried to take him to psychopedagogues to help us in the process, we talk to him clearly so that he understands, we explain to him carefully, besides adding a lot of love to everything we do together, I think this is the best help we can give to our blue children.
5.- What characteristics have you observed?
💙My son did not socialize with other children.
💙He had stereotypical behaviors (although I never saw him that way).
💙He did not make eye contact
💙He had echolalia
💙He is selectively deaf
💙Hyperverbal
💙Sensitive to noise
💙Tantrums
💙Has difficulty following instructions
💙Fixation for specific objects (household appliances).
These are some of the characteristics that my son presents, some of them already evolved, others still present, that little by little he has been improving, we still need to know, learn, and improve but we are on that path, trusting in God always... One day at a time...
My son is a being of light, he is wonderful and never ceases to amaze me with his warmth and human qualities, he is my prince charming...
Saludos Amigos de esta hermosa comunidad de @mundo.autismo me uno nuevamente a esta #iniciativazul promovida por esta maravillosa madre @parauri, donde hablaremos sobre el autismo, como lo entendemos o vivimos, yo desde mi pequeño mundo azul, responderé estas preguntas.
1.- ¿Qué entiendes por autismo?
Según lo que yo he vivido con mi hijo y lo que me han explicado los expertos a los que he asistido buscando conocer y brindarle a mi hijo una vida mejor, el autismo es un retraso en el desarrollo neurológico, pero lo que yo veo en mi hijo es un niño con un gran capacidad de conversación, un niño transparente sin malicia, inocente, honesto, amoroso y con una gran capacidad de análisis..
El autismo para mi es solo una manera de ver el mundo, ver las cosas de una forma distinta a como las ve el común. Claro hay diferentes tipos de autismo y en el caso de mi hijo su autismo es Leve, por lo que algunas situaciones como la irritabilidad, las rutinas han sido llevaderas..
2.- ¿El autismo tiene cura o mejorías?
Bueno según mi experiencia mientras mi hijo ha ido creciendo ha disminuido los berrinches, los movimientos estereotipados podría decir que ya no manifiesta, ha mejorado el contacto visual, aunque a veces un extraño habla con él y se muestra observando el entorno a veces no la persona, pero tiene que ver también con el espacio, si es desconocido para el también, ha mejorado las relaciones sociales el socializa con sus compañeros de clases en el aula..
Ahora¿ tiene cura?, pues no, es una condición para toda la vida, lo que puede es evolucionar ciertos aspectos, conforme vaya creciendo..
Hay situaciones en donde los niños tienen retrocesos, y pueden estar también relacionados con el ambiente donde encuentran, pienso que siempre debemos buscar las maneras de que nuestros hijos puedan ir explorando, conociendo cosas nuevas que lo ayuden a ir poco a poco avanzando..
3.- ¿Cuál nivel de autismo conoces?
Conozco tres tipos de autismo:
Leve o grado 1 es uno de los autismos más llevaderos por así decirlo, de igual manera necesitan ayuda para mejorar ciertos aspectos, pues en el caso de mi hijo que presenta este grado, tiene además TDAH, tiene ligamentos flexibles, por lo que igualmente necesita tratamientos psicopedagógico, trabajar su concentración, su motricidad fina, entre otras atenciones para mejorar su vida.
Grado 2 , en este caso tengo entendido que los niños progresivamente van perdiendo sus habilidades ya adquiridas, y una de las más notables es cuando dejan de hablar, es una de las características más visibles.
Grado 3 siendo este el más comprometido de todos los grados, donde este notablemente requiere mucha más ayuda que los otros-.
4.- ¿Cómo has ayudado a la persona autista a tu cargo?
He tratado de llevarlo a psicopedagogos para que nos ayuden en el proceso, se le habla con claridad para que comprenda, se le explica con detenimiento, además de agregarle mucho amor a todo lo que hacemos juntos, creo es la mejor ayuda que le podemos dar a nuestros niños azules.
5.- ¿Cuáles características has observado?
💙Mi hijo no socializaba con otros niños.
💙Tenía conductas estereotipadas (aunque yo nunca lo vi así)
💙No hacia contacto visual
💙Tenía ecolalia
💙Es sordo selectivo
💙Es hiperverbal
💙Sensibles a los ruidos
💙Rabietas
💙Le cuesta seguir instrucciones
💙Fijación por objetos específicos (electrodomésticos)
Estas son algunas características que presenta mi hijo, algunas ya evolucionadas otras aun presentes, que poco a poco ha ido mejorando aún nos falta por conocer, aprender, y mejorar pero vamos en ese camino, confiando en Dios siempre.. Un día a la vez ..
