Hi guys, today I want to share my experience with you, how it is when your instagram account gets deleted by facebook at 16k Followers. Imagine over 800 posts in the last 3 years and unknown working hours going into that organic growth of an account and then getting it "deleted" by facebook for no reason. Ever since facebook bought instagram the app is going down. Organic reach was limited to 0 and every second post you see is an Ad. 😖

Hallo Leute, heute möchte ich meine Erfahrung mit euch teilen, wie es ist, wenn euer Instagram-Account bei 16k Followern von Facebook gelöscht wird. Stellt euch vor, über 800 Beiträge in den letzten 3 Jahren und unbekannte Arbeitsstunden stecken in diesem organischen Wachstum und dann wird es von Facebook ohne Grund "gelöscht". Seitdem Facebook Instagram gekauft hat, geht es mit der App bergab. Die organische Reichweite wurde auf 0 begrenzt und jeder zweite Post, den man sieht, ist eine Anzeige. 😖
So yesterday morning one of my followers contacted me that my instagram account was gone. At first I thought this might be one of those days where instagram is just down, or a bug. So I tried to open my account by myself and this is what happend. My site could not be found.
Gestern Morgen teilte mir einer meiner Follower mit, dass mein Instagram-Konto verschwunden sei. Zuerst dachte ich, das könnte einer dieser Tage sein, an denen Instagram einfach nicht funktioniert, oder ein Bug. Also habe ich versucht, mein Konto selbst zu öffnen, und das ist passiert. Meine Seite konnte nicht gefunden werden.
I went to socialblade to check on the account. And there is the nightmare, the user is confirmed unable to be found on the internet. So as everyone knows instagram has no real support. Any kind of appeal you want to do, is within in the app. But when you have no account to login into, there is also no appeal option. That's a nice trap set up by Mr. Zuckerberg. So basically you are f*cked and just can kiss your hard work / account goodbye.
Ich ging zu Socialblade, um das Konto zu überprüfen. Und da ist der Alptraum, der Nutzer kann nicht gefunden werden. Also, wie jeder weiß, hat Instagram keinen wirklichen Support. Jede Art von Widerspruch was man einlegen möchte, muss von der App aus getätigt werden. Aber wenn man kein Konto hat, in das man sich einloggen kann, gibt es keine Möglichkeit Widerspruch einzulegen. Das ist eine Falle, die Herr Zuckerberg aufgestellt hat. Im Grunde genommen ist man also aufgeschmissen und kann seine harte Arbeit bzw. sein Konto einfach auf Wiedersehen sagen.
My account was gone for sure and I had no possiblity to appeal. But I also didn't get a notice like "your account was disabled because of...." which can happen to even big accounts like belledelphine or other people at 8 Million followers. Insta/FB doesn't really care, if they want to ban you, they just delete your account and pretend "you" never happend. And it's not their responsiblity that "you" got supporters as well haters on their platform and got people even involved with their platform. No, "you sir or madam" never existed from the beginning. :P
Mein Konto war mit Sicherheit weg und ich hatte keine Möglichkeit, Einspruch zu erheben. Aber ich habe auch keine Nachricht bekommen wie "Ihr Konto wurde wegen .... deaktiviert", was sogar großen Accounts wie belledelphine oder anderen Leuten mit 8 Millionen Followern passieren kann. Insta/FB kümmert es nicht wirklich, wenn sie dich sperren wollen. Sie löschen einfach deinen Account und tun so, als hätte es dich nie gegeben. Und es ist nicht ihre Verantwortung, dass "du" sowohl Fans als auch Hasser auf ihrer Plattform hast und Leute dazu gebracht hast, sich mit ihrer Plattform zu beschäftigen. Nein, "Sie, Sir oder Madam" hat es von Anfang an nicht gegeben :P
Luckily I am a facebook business suite user and I set up my instagram account within the facebook business planer, connected everything correctly. Later I realized that the facebook business planer has a lot of the "massplaner" functions, which facebook originally forbid in 2017 - just to launch their own planer in 2019 with similiar features. Great move by Mr. Zuckerberg again. :) Forbid the competition, copy some of their functions - insta win :D So I went for facebook business support and complaint about unable to connect my instagram account.
Glücklicherweise bin ich Nutzer der Facebook Business Suite und habe mein Instagram-Konto im Facebook Business Planer eingerichtet und alles korrekt verbunden. Später habe ich festgestellt, dass der Facebook Business Planer viele der "Massenplaner"-Funktionen hat, die Facebook ursprünglich 2017 verboten hat - nur um 2019 einen eigenen Planer mit ähnlichen Funktionen zu starten. Toller Schachzug von Mr. Zuckerberg :) Verbietet die Konkurrenz, kopiert einige ihrer Funktionen - insta win :D Also ging ich zum Facebook Business Support und beschwerte mich, dass ich meinen Instagram-Account nicht verbinden konnte.
And guess what? they put me on hold for 24h. 24h later no answer. So I went to ask again what happend to my instagram account. Just a couple of minutes later this happend:
Und wissen Sie was? Ich wurde 24 Stunden lang in der Warteschleife gehalten. 24 Stunden später immernoch keine Antwort. Also habe ich nochmal nachgefragt, was mit meinem Instagram-Account passiert ist. Nur ein paar Minuten später, kriege ich das:
"disabled by mistake" - And "sorry for your inconvenience". Honestly what bunch of apes is behind the desk to push the wrong button and accidently hit on "delete account" ?!! I cannot describe the feeling when I saw this notice. It's like 3 years of work just been deleted, because either their algorithm is ape or some ape behind a desk pressed the wrong button. I know similiar things happen on youtube and tiktok, too, but seriously just deleted whole account by mistake was my first time with any platform in my whole life. What kind of drugs are they taking at facebook?
"Versehentlich deaktiviert" - Und "Entschuldigung für Ihre Unannehmlichkeiten". Was für ein Haufen Affen sitzt denn da hinter dem Schreibtisch und drückt versehentlich auf "Konto löschen"?! Ich kann das Gefühl nicht beschreiben, das ich hatte, als ich diese Nachricht sah. Es ist, als ob 3 Jahre Arbeit einfach gelöscht wurden, weil entweder ihr Algorithmus ein Affe ist oder irgendein Affe hinter einem Schreibtisch den falschen Knopf gedrückt hat. Ich weiß, dass ähnliche Dinge auch auf youtube und tiktok passieren, aber ernsthaft, habe gerade aus Versehen das ganze Konto gelöscht, das war das erste Mal in meinem Leben auf einer Plattform. Was für Drogen nehmen die bei Facebook?
Basically this whole experience just enforced my whole decision to come to hive. All those TOS bullshit and arbitrariness, literally on every platform just in a different extend from youtube, twitch, instagram to tiktok there is no exception. Everyone has a different set of "we ban whoever we want" and there are people who "must not be banned", but we must pretend, that we are fair, so we put up some guidelines which can be interpreted in different ways so we have an excuse for our arbitrariness.
Im Grunde hat diese ganze Erfahrung meine Entscheidung, zu hive zu kommen, nur noch untermauert. All dieser TOS-Bullshit und Willkür, buchstäblich auf jeder Plattform, nur in einem anderen Ausmaß, von Youtube, Twitch, Instagram bis hin zu Tiktok gibt es keine Ausnahme. Jeder hat einen anderen Satz für "wir bannen, wen wir wollen" und es gibt Leute, die "nicht gebannt werden dürfen", aber wir müssen so tun, als wären wir fair, also stellen wir ein paar Richtlinien auf, die auf unterschiedliche Weise interpretiert werden können, damit wir eine Ausrede für unsere Willkür haben.
Sorry I am not sorry that these platforms go DOWN with Web 3.0. It's not different from my past experience with the publishing industry, the platform/industry takes the big chunk of the profit and only a small revenue is forwarded towards the creator. It's basically the same for all big companies, I cannot wait for the blockchain revolution. The sooner the better !
Es tut mir nicht leid, dass diese Plattformen mit Web 3.0 untergehen. Es ist nicht anders als meine früheren Erfahrungen mit der Verlagsbranche, die Plattform/Industrie nimmt den großen Teil des Gewinns und nur ein kleiner Teil der Einnahmen wird an den Ersteller weitergeleitet. Im Grunde ist es für alle großen Unternehmen dasselbe. Ich kann die Blockchain-Revolution kaum erwarten. Je früher, desto besser!
