Workout! Can Zak be consistent? For Hive and for fitness!

I did not have a photo of myself doing pushups so I got a picture of another fat man to fill the role! Credits Here

Becoming Disciplined and forming a new habit

So they say that it takes 21 days to form a new habit and then a further 90 days to fully ingrain that into your daily life.

To be honest, that just sounds like a total of 111 days to really get stuck into a new habit, skill, or behavior you wished you were doing.

One of the habits that I wish I had the fortune to have is to work out more and get into shape.

I am sure that a lot of people have similar goals. It is extremely common that we would like to improve our fitness and health. For some people, this means looking good to others. Others wish to be fit so they can compete in some sort of sport.

I just want to be able to eat what I want without having to fear extra inches or heart failure!

I thought to myself that if I could at least start a little exercise routine and really stick with this as a new and positive habit, I would be able to get myself into all sorts of productive habits - including posting more often on Hive!

Results of Training

Since the 17th of December, I have adopted a little routine. Every single day, I have done 25x pushups and 25x situps.
That is...44 days now. Not bad!

This makes a total of 1100 Pushups and 1100 Situps!

Some days I really was pressed for time or lacked the motivation to get the exercise done. In the end, I managed to pull it off.

Some mornings I manage to get them done as the very first thing that I do for the day and other days I would procrastinate doing my exercises for as long as possible. I still managed to do my exercises even if I did not want to do them.

So here I am 44 days down towards my 111 days and at least I have not quit!

I did a situps relay challenge with my kids and one of their friends meaning I would do situps with one of them until they are finished and then relay battle all 4 kids in a row and I managed a total 129 situps to defeat all 4 of them!

Now I have sparked a bit of competition at home and I will have to do more of these challenges!

Transferrable Discipline

Even though I am extremely excited about Hive and Ecency. It is sometimes such a daunting thing about posting since getting some negative feedback stops my enthusiasm dead in its tracks!

And the silliest part of that whole feeling is that these people are from the old Steemit days and have nothing to do with the wonderful community on Hive!

However, I need to get over this procrastination as well and just get on with it. I need to start posting daily if I want to be constructive about it.

Yes, I know all about Hive fever and burnout, and I am not suggesting that I get ridiculous. I do however think that I should start out by trying to complete another weekly badge on Hivebuzz.

At least for 7 days, post some good content for 7 days in a row... that is the challenge that I am setting myself.
