An Open Invitation to Web 3.0 Social Media

Welcoming people to Hive!

This post is there to invite others from non-Hive spaces into Hive. I have an onboarding class for 2022 and my self-determined goal has not yet been reached. Some of the current students are very successful in a very short amount of time, others become inactive fast. Perhaps we shall see them when web 3.0 critical mass strikes.

I seek out more Students of Hive that I can expose and teach about Hive and all the potentials therein. Hive requires community. I do not immediately earn anything for getting you to join. Nobody is handing out money for me getting you this far.

I am willing to spend time and effort to teach you and lend you some of my power on the network to help get you established. As you grow, the support you give me will mean more and more. That is, however not a primary goal.

Hive is part of a new phase of the evolution of the internet. We call it web 3.0. In short, this means that it is decentralized. This means that instead of a central person or agency owning the platform and the content, this platform is run by a mass of independent computers around the world and if you would like to be one of those people, you can!

Diversify

No doubt, you have other interests than I do. We are all unique in our collection of thoughts and interests. The wonderful thing about Hive is that I am not asking you to join so you can take part in only the things that I enjoy.

Instead you are encouraged to find the people and communities of people who like the same things as you! Do you like photograpy? Poetry? Making food? Surfing? Computer Gaming? DIY? Travel? All of that is on Hive.

In fact, I have to challenge you to find a niche that has not yet been tapped and if you do, within a week of using the platform it is possible to start a new community and build your own content group.

Move your whole community!

If you DO have your own content centrist group, why not move the whole community from other social media to Hive? Do you have a local hobby/sports club that has more than 20 members? It would be awesome and ground breaking to accomplish that. I am going to struggle to get a community that small.

Each person must do their own part! If you are reading this and you wish Hive was more widely adopted as a place for people to come together and post about their lives and interests, then you need to invite your family, your neighbor and your local group.

I am willing to teach anyone from anywhere but I will most certainly focus on my local area!

Note for those who disagree - there is a purpose!

There may be some of you, on Hive, who might have clicked this post wanting to point out that Hive is not just social media. That some of the biggest and best projects on the blockchain has nothing to do with social media, or even blockchain-based blogging - rest assured.

This is still the gateway.

Hive social media spaces and blogging opportunity creates the bases from which to onboard people and have a chance for regular folk to learn about everything that Hive has to offer.

Soon enough, new members, I bring in to one place will diversify. I already have students that belong to completely different interest groups. From there, if they cross paths with someone who is running a project that interests them, then they can choose for themselves to visit or join.

This is Hive. Its a decentralized Blockchain home.
It is better than just crypto-currency.

We build while they bear.

Cheers
