Esie's Halloween Party

As early as the first week of October, Esie had started reminding her parents of 31st of the month. That's the day a story has it that witches and ghosts appear.

Esie is neither interested in witches nor ghosts. In fact, those beings, whether real or imaginary, instil fear in her. She is rather interested in the great gathering of the day - the Halloween party.

She would have been part of it last year, had it not been she had fever a day before which lasted for a week. When other children were telling her of their sweet experience of the party, she was just sad.

So this year, she was full of hopes of fully being involved for the first time.

Her preparation for the party is already on top gear. She would put on a sky blue suit on a white long sleeve shirt, with a yellow bowtie to match. She would wear a pair of an average heeled black shoes, and top up her outfit with a black hat.

Since her birthday falls on the same day, it's going to be a double celebration. All her friends, especially her classmates would be invited. They'll watch her cut the birthday cake, and they'll take a group photograph among others.

There's no doubt that this year's Halloween will be a memorable one - red letter day. That's why Esie can't wait for it.
