Shadow Hunters Contest Entry- Inspired by Shadows

Some of the most amazing shadows I have seen just happen to hang around the deep red rocks of the desert in my back yard. Just a few hours away, though, is an even more grand view of red rocks surrounding a canyon, and the shadows dipping into its hidden creases. Just after I accepted his marriage proposal in February, my best friend whisked me off to Arizona, where we stumbled upon this "big hole in the ground." The depth of the canyon was emphasized by splashes of shade and shadows. I couldn't be torn away until my eyes had bathed in it's beauty for over an hour. I hope to return one day, and to take in the sight of the ever changing Grand Canyon again.
