Cuando me uno a Hive, inicié publicando con la interfaz de Hive.blog. A los días me entero de la existencia de Peakd.com y empecé a usarlo con frecuencia. Con los meses, concretamente gracias a @fragozar01, conozco Ecency.com, y empecé a notar sus bondades, mismas que han aumentado tras cada actualización.
When I joined Hive, I started posting with the Hive.blog interface. A few days later, I found out about Peakd.com and started using it frequently. Over the months, thanks to @fragozar01, I got to know Ecency.com, and I started to notice its benefits, which have increased with each update.
En este post quiero mostrarte 5 funciones que pueden hacer de Ecency un buen frontend para usar siempre u ocasionalmente. Espero te gusten y te animes a usarlo.
In this post I want to show you 5 features that can make Ecency a good frontend to use always or occasionally. I hope you like them and encourage you to use it.
🔵 Tres opciones al sombrear un texto: copiar, tuitear y citar
Three options when shading a text: copy, tweet and quote
-- Copiar / Copy:
Imagina que estás leyendo una publicación y un párrafo te llamó poderosamente la atención y quieres copiarlo para guardarlo, o para citarla en los comentarios. Ecency nos da la facilidad de copiar un trozo del post que estemos leyendo y pegarlo donde queramos. Solo tienes que sombrear el texto en cuestión y dar click en el ícono que está en círculo rojo.
Imagine that you are reading a post and a paragraph caught your attention and you want to copy it to save it, or to quote it in the comments. Ecency gives us the facility to copy a piece of the post we are reading and paste it wherever we want. Just highlight the text in question and click on the red circle icon.

Ahora, supongamos que estás leyendo esa publicación y quieres compartirla en Twitter directamente y citando algún párrafo o línea del post. Ecency nos lo permite muy fácilmente, nada más selecciona el texto, da click en el ícono de Twitter y se te abrirá una pestaña nueva en el navegador, listo para tuitear. Observa:
Now, let's say you are reading that publication and you want to share it on Twitter directly and quoting a paragraph or line from the post. Ecency allows us to do it very easily, just select the text, click on the Twitter icon and a new tab will open in the browser, ready to tweet. Watch:

La última opción que nos ofrece Ecency es la citar texto en los comentarios. Solo sombreas, das click en las comillas y "por arte de magia" aparece en los comentarios, listo para cer citado. Observa:

🔵 Previsualización de perfiles
Profile preview
Una opción que me parece muy práctica, es la función de previsualizar el perfil de un usuario con solo colocar el cursor del ratón sobre su nombre del mismo. Por ejemplo, al colocar el cursor por encima de @poshtoken, se nos abre una cuadro con toda la información de este perfil. Esto contrasta con otras frontend, donde hay que abrir el perfil del usuario para saber más sobre él.
An option that I find very practical, is the function to preview the profile of a user just by placing the mouse cursor over the user's name. For example, by placing the cursor over @poshtoken, a box opens with all the information of this profile. This contrasts with other frontends, where you have to open the user's profile to learn more about him.
🔵 Sistema de puntos
Point system
Creo que el programa de puntos (yo le llamo millas de viaje por su similitud con esos programas de aerolíneas) es uno de los atractivos principales de @ecency. Al usar cualquier aplicación de Ecency, podemos ganar puntos que luego podemos canjear por promoción de nuestras publicaciones, votos de parte de la cuenta y trail de Ecency o regalarlo a otros usuarios. Es básicamente un programa de fidelidad que premia tu preferencia por esta frontend.
I think the points program (I call it travel miles because of its similarity to those airline programs) is one of the main attractions of @ecency. By using any Ecency app, we can earn points that we can then redeem for promotion of our posts, votes on behalf of the Ecency account and trail or give it as a gift to other users. It is basically a loyalty program that rewards your preference for this frontend.
En el cuadro de abajo podemos ver que incluso te dan puntos por mantener la sesión abierta (puntos por latido). Ganas puntos por publicar, comentar, rebloguear, votar, seguir, crear comunidades, etc. Muchos de los que usamos o hemos usado Ecency alguna vez, nos hemos visto beneficiados por su voto cuando nuestras publicaciones han pasado sin pena ni gloria y han quedado casi en $ 0,1. Pero también nos permite promocionar nuestros posts haciéndolos visibles en otras comunidades.
In the chart below we can see that you even get points for keeping the session open (points per heartbeat). You earn points for posting, commenting, reblogging, voting, following, creating communities, etc. Many of us who use or have ever used Ecency, have benefited from your vote when our publications have passed without shame or glory and have been almost $ 0.1. But it also allows us to promote our posts by making them visible in other communities.
🔵 Modo oscuro a la mano
Dark mode at hand
Para mi, que soy fan del modo oscuro en cualquier aplicación, el poder acceder a esta función sin necesidad de irme a ajustes o lugares recónditos (como en Peakd, por ejemplo) es una gran ventaja. Hay ocasiones que al iniciar sesión se activa, por defecto, el modo claro. Si no deseas ver la interfaz así, nada más tienes que dar click en ese ícono con forma de sol y listo, se cambia al instante.
For me, a fan of dark mode in any application, being able to access this feature without having to go to settings or hidden places (as in Peakd, for example) is a great advantage. There are times when logging in that light mode is activated by default. If you don't want to see the interface like that, just click on the sun icon and that's it, it changes instantly.

🔵 Interfaz traducible a múltiples idiomas
Interface translatable into multiple languages
Ecency tiene su propia base de datos de idiomas. Esto gracias a un grupo de colaboradores que hacen posible que tú y yo no tengamos que depender de la función de traducción de nuestro navegador para poder leer en nuestro idioma. Desde idiomas tan conocidos como el inglés, español portugués e italiano, hasta idiomas propios de países, como el suomi, de Finlandia, o el srpski (serbio), o el indonesio. Esto, a mi parecer, es un gran gesto y estrategia pensando en el usuario, pues disfrutar de una página web en nuestro idioma nativo es muy agradable y nos facilita muchísimo las cosas.
Ecency has its own language database. This is thanks to a group of collaborators who make it possible for you and me not to have to depend on the translation function of our browser to be able to read in our language. From languages as well known as English, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian, to languages of countries such as Suomi, from Finland, or srpski (Serbian), or Indonesian. This, in my opinion, is a great gesture and strategy thinking about the user, because enjoying a web page in our native language is very nice and makes things much easier for us.
Ecency es una gran frontend, con múltiples ventajas sobre el resto. Aunque en ocasiones se porta inestable (en una próxima publicación presentaré lo que no me gusta de ella), pero no deja de ser una gran opción a la hora de publicar, comentar y hacer uso de su programa de puntos. Fundada por @good-karma (puedes votar por él como testigo dando click aquí ) y con un gran equipo a su lado que la mantiene ofreciendo opciones destacables, @ecency se mantiene como una popular interfaz entre los usuarios de Hive.
Ecency is a great frontend, with multiple advantages over the rest. Although it is sometimes unstable (in a future post I will present what I don't like about it), but it is still a great option when it comes to publishing, commenting and making use of its points program. Founded by @good-karma (you can vote for him as a witness by click here ) and with a great team by his side that keeps it offering outstanding options, @ecency remains a popular interface among Hive users.
