How did that experience help you become a successful adult or hinder you from becoming a successful adult?
La verdad es que no soy ni la primera ni la última soy la segunda de 5 hermanos, por cuestiones de la vida mi hermana mayor no siguió estudiando ni siquiera pudo sacar el bachillerato, mi mamá siempre buscó las maneras de que mi hermana mayor siguiera estudiando para sacar su bachillerato y empezara una carrera, la inscribió en colegios privados después de haber estado en los públicos, pero fue imposible, mi hermana se casó muy joven y tuvo su primer hijo, a raíz de todos estos acontecimientos mi madre no quería que yo pasara por lo mismo, así que busco las maneras posibles de que yo al terminar el 5to año iniciara una carrera, recuerdo que me llevó a un instituto para que yo estudiara enfermeria, carrera que no me gusta, después me llevó a otro instituto a estudiar informática pero como no me gustan los números pues decidí no ir más.
The truth is that I am neither the first nor the last, I am the second of 5 siblings, for reasons of life my older sister did not continue studying, she could not even get her high school diploma, my mother always looked for ways for my older sister to continue studying to get her high school diploma and start a career, she enrolled her in private schools after having been in public schools, but it was impossible, My sister got married very young and had her first child, as a result of all these events my mother did not want me to go through the same thing, so she looked for possible ways for me to start a career when I finished the 5th year, I remember that she took me to an institute to study nursing, a career that I do not like, then she took me to another institute to study computer science but as I do not like numbers I decided not to go anymore.
Mi papá siempre nos decía que teníamos que estudiar, que de eso dependía el futuro no sólo de nosotras sino el de nuestra familia, a él siempre le llamó mucho la atención la carrera de derecho por lo que él quería que yo la estudiara, deje pasar el tiempo y comencé a trabajar dejando los estudios a un lado, me casé y tuve mis dos hijos, pero siempre hubo en mí las ganas de estudiar, estando ya trabajando pasé por muchas circunstancias laborales, humillación, maltrato verbal,acoso, debido a todo esto decidí estudiar derecho.
My father always told us that we had to study, that our future depended on it, not only for us but also for our family, he was always very interested in the law career so he wanted me to study it, I let time pass and I started working leaving my studies aside, I got married and had my two children, but there was always in me the desire to study, being already working I went through many work circumstances, humiliation, verbal abuse, harassment, because of all this I decided to study law.
Para mí era muy fuerte ya que trabajaba y estudiaba y aparte tenia a mis dos hijos pequeños, pero siempre mantuve las ganas y el deseo de no rendirme y de seguir adelante, por circunstancias de la vida cuando iba por el tercer semestre de la carrera a mi papá le da una ACV (Accidente Cerebrovascular), cosa que lo dejo en cama, para mí fue algo muy triste, eso alimento mis fuerzas para seguir adelante con mi carrera, al mi papá enterarse que ya yo estaba en tercer semestre se alegró mucho y más cuando supo que estaba estudiando la carrera que a él siempre le gusto que una de sus 4 hijas la iniciara, lamentablemente murió antes de que yo pudiera graduarme.
For me it was very hard because I was working and studying and besides I had my two young children, but I always kept the desire and the desire not to give up and move forward, by circumstances of life when I was in the third semester of my career my dad had a stroke (stroke), which left him in bed, When my father found out that I was already in my third semester, he was very happy and even happier when he found out that I was studying the career that he always liked one of his 4 daughters to start, unfortunately he died before I could graduate.
Muchas veces los padres ven en los hijos mayores el ejemplo a seguir para sus hermanos, pero la mayoría de las veces fallamos porque somos seres humanos, y nuestros padres al ver que los hijos mayores fallan, buscan las maneras posibles de que los más pequeños no lo hagan, hoy por hoy le doy gracias a Dios por permitirme culminar mi carrera, y gracias a mi madre porque ella no quiso que yo pasara por lo mismo de mi hermana mayor, que no me convirtiera en madre tan joven por eso busco las maneras de que yo siguiera estudiando y a mi padre porque desde pequeña siempre me inculcó que tenía que estudiar y que echar pa´lante
Many times parents see in their older children the example to follow for their siblings, but most of the time we fail because we are human beings, and our parents, when they see that their older children fail, look for possible ways for the younger ones not to do it, today I thank God for allowing me to finish my career, And thanks to my mother because she did not want me to go through the same thing as my older sister, that I did not become a mother so young, that's why she looked for ways for me to continue studying and to my father because since I was a little girl he always instilled in me that I had to study and to go forward.
