Greetings, LOH community, long time no see! To think that when I came to Hive over a year ago my first post was in this community because I did not know where to do it and this was one of the first communities that came up in the main feed, what a thing, isn't it? Anyway, it's been a while, but I'm back and I hope to return to participate often in the activities of this great community.
This time I'm glad to be back answering a very interesting question:
With which woman in the history of your country do you identify, and why?
I want to start by saying that every country has great women who left their mark in history in different ways, my country certainly has several such as Teresa Carreño, who excelled in music, Luisa Caseres de Arismendi, a great woman fighter, Carolina Herrera, who became a world icon of elegance and fashion, among many others ... All of them are incredible and who knows, maybe I have one or another thing in common with them, but they are not my choice today, since I personally feel somehow identified with Ana Teresa de la Parra Sojo, a great Venezuelan woman who, in life, was a writer who stood out in her time and spread a message in favor of women in several of her writings. Her fantastic way of narrating, plus her transparency when expressing herself, were one of the things that catapulted her to become a person who would mark history.
The representative novels of this personality are "Memories of Mamá Blanca" and "Ifigenia", the latter being the most popular because it addresses the role of women in the society of that time, where women's opinion was not taken into account and marriage had to be practically their only aspiration. This type of writing expressed a message that was not common at that time, making Teresa de la Parra stand out, establishing a before and after in Venezuelan Literature.
The reason why I feel identified with Teresa is that I love literature and writing. I love reading, thinking, analyzing, observing, having my own rhythm, autonomy, freedom, not making my life revolve around a man or a relationship as in the old days. Knowing that I'm mine, intelligent and independent, plus not being afraid to express my feelings and thoughts both in written and verbal form, make me think that I would have gotten along very well with Teresa.
As I mentioned above, I love writing, just like her, I also write stories of different genres and I think I do very well with short stories. Will I ever create great recognized writings like her?, I honestly don't know, but I do know that with or without recognition, writing is something I enjoy and I feel I do it well, of course, there is always room for improvement, but that I'm on the right track, I am and Teresa is a great inspiration on this road.

Y pensar que cuando llegue a Hive hace poco más de un año mi primer post lo hice en esta comunidad debido a que no sabía donde hacerlo y esta fue una de las primeras comunidades que me salió en el feed de inicio, que cosas, ¿no? En fin, ha pasado tiempo, pero aquí estoy devuelta y espero volver a participar seguido en las actividades de esta genial comunidad.
En esta oportunidad me alegra volver respondiendo una pregunta muy interesante:
¿Con qué mujer de la historia de su país se identifica y por qué?
Quiero comenzar diciendo que todo país tiene grandes mujeres que dejaron huella en la historia de diferentes maneras, mi país sin duda tiene varias tales como Teresa Carreño, quien destaco en la música, Luisa Caseres de Arismendi, una gran mujer luchadora, Carolina Herrera, quien se convirtió en un icono mundial de elegancia y moda, entre muchas otras... Todas ellas son increíbles y quién sabe, tal vez tenga una que otra cosa en común con ellas, pero no son mi elección de hoy, ya que yo personalmente me siento de alguna forma identificada es con Ana Teresa de la Parra Sojo, una gran mujer venezolana que, en vida, fue una escritora que destaco en su época y esparció un mensaje en pro de la mujer en varios de sus escritos. Su fantástica manera de narrar, más su transparencia a la hora de expresarse, fueron una de las cosas que la catapultaron a convertirse en una persona que marcaría la historia.
Las novelas representativas de este personaje son Memorias de Mamá Blanca e Ifigenia, siendo esta última la más popular debido a que toca el tema del rol de la mujer en la sociedad de aquel entonces, donde la opinión de las mujeres no era tomada en cuenta y el matrimonio debía ser prácticamente su única aspiración. Este tipo de escritos expresaban un mensaje que no era común en aquel entonces, haciendo que Teresa de la Parra sobresaliera, marcando un antes y un después en la Literatura Venezolana.
La razon por la que me siento identificada con Teresa es que a mí me encanta la literatura y escribir. Amo leer, pensar, analizar, observar, tener mi propio ritmo, la autonomía, la libertad, el no hacer que mi vida gire en torno a hombre o una relación de pareja como en los tiempos de antaño. El saberme mía, inteligente e independiente, más no tener miedo de expresar mi sentir y pensar tanto de forma escrita como verbal, me hacen pensar que me hubiera llevado muy bien con Teresa.
Como mencione más arriba, me encanta escribir, así como ella, yo también escribo historias de diferentes géneros y creo que me va muy bien con los relatos cortos. ¿Llegaré a crear grandes escritos reconocidos como ella?, honestamente no lo sé, pero sí sé que con reconocimiento o sin él, escribir es algo que disfruto y siento que lo hago bien, claro, siempre hay espacio para mejorar, pero de que voy bien encaminada, voy y Teresa es una gran inspiración en este camino de amar la Literatura.
