Hello💟 As you know I recently moved to a place that I estimate will be my home for a couple of years and I can finally start building a foundation for my work and ventures. One of my passions is makeup and skincare, and I'm currently focusing on sharing makeup and product reviews on my blog, as well as setting up my online makeup store.
Hola💟 Como saben recientemente me mudé a un lugar que estimo será mi hogar por un par de años y finalmente puedo empezar a construir una base para mis trabajos y emprendimientos. Una de mis pasiones es el maquillaje y el cuidado de la piel, y actualmente me concentro en compartir maquillajes y reseñas de productos en mi blog, así como también estoy preparando mi tienda de maquillaje virtual.
Last year when I was just starting to do makeup I discovered how much I loved body makeup, especially makeup artistry and editorial makeup. At that time my budget was limited and I had to concentrate on other expenses, so I simply "painted" my face with "Tempera" the kind that kids use in preschool. The only way I could have professional makeup was to import it, but it was very expensive in my country, so I gave up on the idea. Later, while watching the Netflix TV Show "Glow Up" I realized how interesting the world of Makeup FX or Special Effects/Prosthetic Makeup was. In this I have zero experience because I haven't put it into practice much nor have I studied it, but I find this area of makeup so incredible and interesting that little by little I will be getting into it and learning on my own until I can afford a professional course. The FX Makeup is the one used for characterization of characters in series, movies or theater. It sounds like fun but it really requires a lot of talent and professionalism.
El año pasado cuando empezaba a maquillarme descubrí cuánto amaba el maquillaje corporal, especialmente el maquillaje artístico y editorial. Para ese entonces mi presupuesto era limitado y debía concentrarme en otros gastos, así que sencillamente "pintaba" mi rostro con "pintadedos" o "Tempera" de las que utilizan los niños en el preescolar. La única forma de que pudiera tener maquillaje profesional era importándolo, sin embargo era muy costoso en mi país, así de desistí de la idea. Más adelante, mientras veía el TV Show de Netflix "Glow Up" me di cuenta de lo interesante que era el mundo del Makeup FX o Maquillaje de efectos especiales/protésico. En esto tengo cero experiencia pues no lo he puesto mucho en práctica ni lo he estudiado, pero me parece tan increíble e interesante esa área del maquillaje que poco a poco me iré adentrando en ella y aprendiendo por mi cuenta hasta que pueda costear algún curso profesional. El Maquillaje FX es el que se utiliza para la caracterización de personajes en series, películas o teatro. Suena como algo divertido pero realmente requiere mucho talento y profesionalismo.
Why am I telling you all this? Because I want to share here my happiness of being able to acquire materials that will help me with the things I mentioned before. A few weeks ago I visited the "Beauty and Health" fair in Corferias, Bogota, and there I was able to get so many things related to what I like. The first thing I looked for was liquid body paint. I wanted to have first the most basic colors: red, blue, white, black and magenta. With this I will be able to paint the whole face/neck with perfect pigmentation and coverage.
¿Por qué les cuento todo esto? Porque quiero compartir por acá mi felicidad de poder adquirir materiales que me ayudarán a las cosas que les mencioné anteriormente. Hace unas semanas visité la feria de "Belleza y Salud" en Corferias, Bogotá, y allí pude conseguir tantaaas cosas relacionadas a lo que me gusta. Lo primero que busqué fue pintura corporal líquida. Quise tener primero los colores más básicos: rojo, azul, blanco, negro y magenta. Con esto podré pintar todo el rostro/cuello con una pigmentación y cobertura perfecta.
In regards to FX makeup I bought Liquid Blood, to do some Halloween makeup, as well as "special effects flesh". As for this, the blood was very easy to use but the flesh takes some practice so I will be watching more videos on how to use it.
En relación al maquillaje FX compré Sangre líquida, para realizar algunos maquillajes de Halloween, así como también "carne para efectos especiales". En cuanto a esto, la sangre fue muy fácil de usar pero la carne requiere algo de práctica así que estaré viendo más videos sobre ccómo usarla.
I also got what I told you is my favorite type of brushes. If you have trouble getting your shadows to pigment or feel like your makeup looks are lifeless, you can try applying the shadows with these types of brushes and you will totally see the change.
También conseguí lo que les he comentado que es mi tipo de brochas favoritas. Si tienes problemas para que tus sombras pigmenten o sientes que tus maquillajes no tienen vida, puedes probar aplicando las sombras con este tipo de brochas y verás el cambio totalmente.
Lastly, just as I "invent" a lot with my skin and my makeup, I also try to take care of it as much as I can. That's why I wanted to buy the roller and the quartz Guasha stone, to include them in my routine and then share with you a review on my blog if it really works and I see a significant change in my skin. In addition to a Serum with hyaluronic acid with which I will try doing the facial massages with the Roller and the stone.
Por último, así como "invento" mucho con mi piel y mis maquillajes, también trato de cuidarla lo más que pueda. Por eso quise comprar el roller y la piedra Guasha de cuarzo, para incluirlos en mi rutina y luego compartirles una reseña en mi blog sobre si realmente funciona y veo un cambio significativo en mi piel. Además de un Sérum con ácido hialurónico con el que probaré hacer los masajes faciales con el Roller y la piedra.
I wrote this post with the intention of showing you that you don't always have the possibility to start "creating" using all the products you need, or the most professional ones, but with time and hard work you can acquire those things that are essential to achieve what you are passionate about. Sometimes it can take a month, or a year, but everything that is really worth it takes some time. In conclusion: Patience :)
Este post lo escribí con la intención de mostrarte que no siempre se tiene la posibilidad de empezar a "crear" utilizando todos los productos que necesitas, o los más profesionales, pero con el tiempo y con mucho trabajo se pueden ir adquiriendo esas cosas que son imprescindibles para lograr aquello que te apasiona. A veces puedes tardar un mes, o un año, pero todo lo que realmente vale la pena toma algo de tiempo. En conclusión: Paciencia :)
