I planted an area in the backyard last year. It was dismal, and I thought that it was a garden fail. If you care to check out my post then, it was HERE and a photo from last year below.

Nevertheless I wanted to give the garden another try and give another chance.

So this planting season I cleaned it up, and started all over again.

The survivalgardener says: “Every failure is a chance for us to reassess our gardening methods, our pest control, our crop varieties and our own thinking. It’s good to fail now, before things get any uglier. If you’re not actively growing and learning now, you might be in for a rocky road in the future.”

On the opposite side are flowers!

The flowers give color to the backyard. It is awfully sunny at the back, the plants are exposed to the heat of the sun the entire day.

The side yard is another story.

I love the side yard. The side yard is where I sit in the morning for coffee.

It receives partial sun, starting about 11 AM till 3 PM. It has been an ideal place for my rose tree!
