#153 contest: How important is communication in a relationship

A very interesting question indeed! This question took me to my yesteryears.
I was a person who used to argue a lot through out my school and college days. For this fact, my dad indeed used to make fun of me saying you are fit for the post of a lawyer. But I ended up my career in teaching.

Afterwhich I had to settle down in life. He is a supportive and understanding partner, but sometimes commanding.
I believe none of us are perfect. Everyone has his or her own flaws. Unless we are told about our mistakes we cannot correct ourselves. I have a
husband who is too perfect - meaning even small things matter and the end result being a total silence at home, be it me or my kids! Communication is very important in any relationship to move on.

Though many a times I warned him against this, the same saga continues. Right from my marriage (years before) until now he makes it a point to remain silent for certain aspects which is wrong from his point of view. This may last for a day or two or for a week. Otherwise, he is the perfect partner any lady would love to have. The more I try to be perfect, the more complications I had to face. Hope one day he will get rid of this character by breaking the silence.

Many a times I tried to retaliate, but then forcefully I stay calm to maintain the peace at home. Because home should never be a battle field instead a place where the family can relax after a tiring day.

I really would like to thank you for putting forward this question, so that I can open up atleast in this platform.
The lesson I learnt in these years is - "Women are always stronger in heart than Men" because to survive with peoples of such nature a woman needs a good lot of patience.
