Why do you think society places so much value on beauty when it has no functional purpose?
Nowadays, it sometimes seems to me that society is much more visual than in any other era. This could be because there is more access to videos and photos on the internet, where sometimes it is shown that physical beauty is linked or equals to having money, the most desired objects, a partner, house and family almost perfect or at least that is what is commonly shown.
So, perhaps, our brain could be linking looking good with the happiness, satisfaction and success that many of us desire. It is therefore placed in a position of importance.
However, it would be unfortunate, for example, if someone looks great, with everything in its place (which is not bad at all), but when entering a place does not say "good morning" or does not say "please and thank you" when asking for something. I think these things weigh much more in life than beauty, actually I would say it is part of true human beauty 😻

En la actualidad, a veces me pareciera que la sociedad es mucho más visual que en cualquier otra época. Esto podría ser porque se tiene mayor acceso a videos y fotos en la internet, donde en ocasiones se muestra algo así como que la belleza física está ligada o es igual a tener dinero, los objetos más deseados, una pareja, casa y familia casi perfecta o al menos eso es lo que se muestra comúnmente.
Entonces, a lo mejor, nuestro cerebro podría estar relacionando el verse bien con la felicidad, la satisfacción y el éxito que muchos deseamos. Por ende se le coloca en un puesto de importancia.
Sin embargo, sería lamentable, por ejemplo, si alguien se ve muy bien, con todo bien puesto en su lugar (cosa que no está para nada mal), pero cuando entra a un lugar no dice "buenos días" o no dijera "por favor y gracias" cuando pide que le den algo. Creo que estas cosas pesan mucho más en la vida que la belleza, en realidad diría que es parte de la verdadera belleza humana 😻

What job would you be absolutely terrible at?
I think I would be terrible as a Chef 😅 (And so much I love to eat 🙈). If I worked in a restaurant, the place would go bankrupt the same day 😂 Just kidding. I say that because I know how to cook only a few things and my seasoning is so-so.
Despite that, I'm sure we all have the ability to do a job well, if we like it and it's our goal. Or no? 🙈

Creo que sería terrible como Chef 😅 (Y tanto que me gusta comer 🙈). Si trabajara en un restaurante, el local quebraría el mismo día 😂 Es broma. Lo digo porque sé cocinar solo algunas cosas y mi sazón es más o menos buena.
A pesar de eso, estoy segura de que todos tenemos la capacidad de hacer bien un trabajo, si nos gusta y es nuestra meta. ¿O no? 🙈
