Ladies of Hive Community Contest #195 - Living an Immigrant Life

This week @LadiesofHive - Contest #195 questions are:
1️⃣ We are in times of many changes, thousands of people have had to leave their home to start from scratch. Tell me, what do you think about immigration? Have you lived this experience, or do you have someone close to you who has had to go to another country? How do you feel about that?

2️⃣ This Sunday, we celebrate Children's Day in my country (Venezuela). If you have children, how do you celebrate their day? If you don't have children, do you ever let that "child inside you" out? Tell us what you do, and how does this make you feel?

There are 2 types of immigration, a legal and illegal immigration. One where a person does it with choice in prospects of growth in the new place and the other one is forced where one has to do it just to save their life and this is more of a refugee case. The first one has it's own pros and cons but the second one is the dreadful one, because here it's a situation of desperateness against a person's wish.

Since the time I have started living in Middle East my whole perspective has changed on this topic. Before coming here, I always thought that people will shift because they are getting better opportunities but then after staying here for these years I have realized that so many people immigrate because their land has nothing much to give them and it's just a matter of survival and safety that makes them move to another place.

There are so many parts of the world today which are not safe to live in because they are now war zones and life is completely disrupted there and it is not safe for the future of their children and hence they have to make a decision to immigrate to a new place where their children can get a better and stable future.

This question is not easy to answer, because it has many complexities and there is no black and white on it. Immigration can be good and not good depending on in which situation you are making this decision. Be it whatever in both the case, one has to start life again in a new place like a fresh start.

I have quite a few friends who have immigrated to different parts of the world from India for better life prospects and they are well settled in their new country, but I still see that they are missing home and never that happy. It's like a compromise for a better quality of life. I too have moved to another Country for work, but that's on a temporary basis. I would never want to do it on permanent basis.

My belief is that every place has it's own up and down sides and there is never going to be a perfect place to live in, so then it matters to what's at stake and how much you are willing to sacrifice.

In our country Children's Day is celebrated on 14th November. Honestly since past few days I have not been celebrating this day. Till my Son was small, we all mothers would come together and do something special for them. Now being away from home, it has just become a normal day for me.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸
