Greetings #LOH friends today I want to share with you information about something that affects us women every 28 to 30 days.

For most women talking about menstrual period is still taboo, and some girls arrive to their first period without any previous information which causes them a negative impact regarding something so natural.

As you may know, most of the sanitary products used to handle menstrual blood 🩸 are polluting waste that does not degrade quickly.

According to United Nations studies, each woman generates 60 kilograms of menstrual waste during her lifetime, whether in the form of pads, tampons or rags that are discarded. This means about 100 tons per year.

In addition to the waste problem, there is also the expense caused by the menstrual cycle, which depending on each woman varies between 1 to 2 packs of pads or tampons per month, with a minimum cost of 1 dollar per pack of 8 sanitary napkins.

It is for all these reasons that I would like to talk about the menstrual cup, which is an economical and environmentally friendly option, as it is reusable and durable.

Saludos amigas de #LOH el día de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes información sobre algo que nos afecta a las mujeres cada 28 o 30 días.

Para la mayoría de las mujeres hablar del periodo menstrual todavía es tabú, y algunas niñas llegan a su primer periodo sin ninguna información previa lo que les causa un impacto negativo respecto a algo tan natural.

Como sabrán, la mayoría de los productos sanitarios destinados al manejo de la sangre 🩸 menstrual son residuos contaminantes que no se degradan rápidamente.

Según estudios de las Naciones Unidas, cada mujer genera durante su vida 60 kilogramos de desechos menstruales, ya sea en forma de toallas higiénicas, tampones o trapos que son desechados.

Esto significa alrededor de 100 toneladas al año.
Además del problema de los desechos, también está el gasto ocasionado por el ciclo menstrual, que dependiendo de cada mujer varía entre 1 a 2 paquetes de toallas o tampones al mes, con un costo mínimo de 1 dólar por paquete de 8 toallas sanitarias.

Es por todos estos motivos, que me gustaría hablarles de la copa menstrual, que es una opción económica y amigable con el ambiente, ya que es reutilizable y durable.
