In this battle, while abiding to the rules of combat can certainly be a great strategy giving you a good advantage throughtout the battle, your priorities is still the best team you can do with the allotted resources.

I will prove to you that rules of combat can certainly be advantageous but it's not a necessity as long as your strategy can outdo your opponents.

Aquatus is a Rare summoner from the Chaos Legion Series.

Level 6 Rare summoners allow the use of:
Level 3 Legendary monsters;
Level 5 Epic monsters;
Level 6 Rare monsters;
Level 8 Common monsters.

Aquatus is not really good in my opinion. The Backfire ability may be good on paper but since it's using evasion as the main mechanic to activate it, it's more RNG or based on chance making it not as reliable than you think.

Backfire. [Defense] [Damage] Any monster that attacked this monster and missed gets 2 damage.

The good part of this ability is that it can affect any attacker. Whether the monster was attacked by a melee, range or magic damage, as long as the attacking monster missed, they would get a 2 damage counter. The problem is that, they need to miss first.

Diemonshark is one of the strongest melee monsters from Water Splinter. He has high damage, armor and health and speed perfectly fit to be your tank even if he doesn't have any defensive abilities. His abilities are all offensive with a Trample ability that fits Stampede rules of combat.

At level 1, is unlocked.

Trample is needed to use Stampede rules of combat. Due to Diemonshark's high damage, this ability works really well with him in conjunction with his other abilities.

At level 4, Enrage is unlocked. [Stat Modifier] While this monster is damaged, increase its melee damage and speed by 50%.

When Diemonshark is on damage state, he gets increased damage and speed which is a good advantage on getting that last hit to your opponent's monster trigggering Trample and Stampede.

At level 7, Retaliate is unlocked. [Defense] [Damage] This monster has a 50% chance of attacking any opponent's melee monster that attack this monster.

If your monster kills an opponent with Retaliate, since Diemonshark is melee, Trample can activate and Stampede will make Trample continue everytime he kills another monster.

Aquatus: Very cheap summoner to rent to allow you to use max level monsters without breaking your wallet.

1. Diemonshark: The combination of Backfire and Retaliate abilties are interesting. If the opponent's melee monster hits, Diemonshark has a chance to Retaliate back. If the opponent's monster miss their attack, Diemonshark will be damaging them still through Backfire ability.
2. Pelacor Bandit: Pelacor Bandit's high damage is really good for its low mana cost.
3. Spirit Hoarder: I have him to support Wave Brood using Triage allowing my Diemonshark to survive for longer.
4. Merdaali Guardian: Her Tank Heal and Repair is a perfect fit to make sure Diemonshark doesn't die quick.
5. Angelic Mandarin: Another Triage monster to keep Wave Brood alive.
6. Wave Brood: The most important is his Taunt ability to redirect the damage to him then gets healed by Triage. This combo will make sure that there are less attacks targetting Diemonshark and the others while he takes all the damage.

🔸 ᗪIᗪ YOᑌᖇ ᔕTᖇᗩTEGY ᗯOᖇKEᗪ? 🔸

Yes. This is a very solid strategy as I have multiple healers set up. The problem is that if an opponent has a monster with Affliction ability, this would crumble down like a house of cards since Triage will not work on Wave Brood nor Tank Heal on Diemonshark.

🔹 ᗯᕼᗩT ᗯIᒪᒪ YOᑌ TᖇY ᗪIᖴᖴEᖇEᑎTᒪY ᑎE᙭T TIᗰE? 🔹

Possibilus the Wise is the best summoner in Stampede Rule of Combat. Unfortunately, I didn't rent him so I wasn't able to use it. In order to abuse this Rule of combat, pick Possibilus the Wise as your summoner and use melee monsters with Opportunity ability to allow them to use the Trample ability eventually, Stampede.

Aquatus and Diemonshark in Stampede Rules of Combat

Yes. Possibilus the Wise is one of my best summoners especially when combined with Coastal Sentry just like what my opponent was doing. I have a different approach to his lineup though but the idea is technically the same.
