Share Your Battle: Djinn Chwala

Introduction

If you're bored in the normal set up where your main tank sustains and back line attacks, Djinn Chwala may be the monster that you're looking for.

Unlike other front lines, he's one of those that hits hard especially at higher levels. His entire kit is about killing the opponent and bashing him in the head making him very favorable to players whose main goal is to eliminate the opponent team as fast as possible to start their next game.

Lore

Dawn of the Djinn 4 of 4 - Only a short time after the Djinn were released, most of them were already seeing their elemental captivity as a blessing rather than a curse. They had far greater power than before, now that they were working with the force of the Planet at their backs. Pursuit of power was at the core of Belludae beliefs, so most of them would make small sacrifices for greater power.

The Djinn have not all found one another, and it will be difficult for them to do so since many of them reside in different elements. This is why several of the Djinn have submitted themselves as cards in the Moxian games, so they can connect with their lost brethren. Gradually they will come together to Praetoria as part of the last lines of defense, channeling the power of the Planet into an impenetrable wall to hold back the Chaos Legion.

Market Price Buy

Since Djinn Chwala came a few months ago and there's now more cards on the game, it's not as picked as much which made his supply a lot more. More supply means price dropping. That's why we see him at only $1.07 even though he's an epic card and a level 3 to boot. It's a really cheap card and a must have if you like Thorns and Dragons.

We already saw how cheap his market price is. That would obviously creep on the rental part as well. At only 1.45 DEC per day, you can rent a level 4 one already. Since he's a level 4, this not only gives you higher stats once you have the appropriate summoner and rank but also more power as higher level means a number of cards has been combined for it to level up.

Stats

Great health and armor. These two stats alone makes him a strong contender as a front line. He has 2 melee damage and Thorns at early level making him deadly against other melee tanks since they get hit by another 2 if their attacks hit. Djinn Chwala is one of the best substitute tank in the game if you don't like the tank in the element of your choosing.

Abilities

Thorns.png

At level 1, Thorns ability is unlocked. This is very useful on early levels when you're against people with only 1 ability or has low stats yet. The 2 damage from thorns every hit is actually high and can shut down a lot of team comps. His combined high health and armor is also good as you can have Thorns proc more often before he dies.

Enrage.png

At level 4, Enrage ability is unlocked. Enrage increases the monster's melee damage and speed by 50%. This makes him a deadly hitter instead of a tank. If your plan is to kill the oppponent's team rather than sustaining and having your back line deal the damage, Djinn Chwala is the one for you.

True Strike.png

At level 6, True Shot is unlocked. I thought this was a useless skill because tanks don't need damage but they need health, armor and abilities that make them survive more. However, seeing that at level 6, he gets 4 melee damage, Djinn Chwala is more like a bruiser than a tank.

Bruisers are MOBA's damage dealers that does not act fast but both hits hard and can tank for a bit. Djinn Chwala embodies that by having 10 health and 4 damage at level 6. Making his shots hit each time makes huge problems for any opponents.

Do you like DJINN CHWALA? Why or Why not?

Depite having high mana cost, I would say that I do like Djinn Chwala provided that I can rent another Dragon summoner as I am not a fan of the free dragon summoner. He has a strong ability even at level 1 combined with his high health and armor making him great tank for any games. In addition to that, if Dragons are not disabled on the rule set, you can use him as a substitute tank in other elements as well.

Lineup

Djinn Chwala Lineup.jpg

Summoner: Drake of Arnak: gives 1 armor to all ally monsters.

  1. Djinn Chwala: Has high health and decent armor. Also has Thorns ability to inflict more damage to enemies.
  2. Radiated Scorcher: A 1 mana cost filler to add because I have extra mana.
  3. Tenyii Striker: Has Sneak ability that allows him to change the attack target to the last opponent's monster. This also allows him to attack from any position.
  4. Serpentine Spy: Has Opportunity ability that changes target to lowest health monster on opponent's side. Opportunity also allows the monster to be able to attack from any position.
  5. Battering Ram: Same as Serpentine Spy but with lower damage, speed and less than 1 mana cost.

Did your strategy worked?

No. Thorns ability only activates if opponent's melee monster attack Djinn Chwala. The problem is the opponent has magic damage and range units. The only melee monster in the opponent's side is the 1st position monster. The thorns ability was not fully utilized in this battle.

What will you try differently next time?

I don't think there's anything to change. It's just unlucky that I got a range-heavy opponent. If I am against melee-hard team, then Djinn Chwala would be really good. It's just an unlucky chance but still, even with Thorns ability not activating, his high health and decent armor still allowed my team to survive a round longer to be able to kill the opponent's damage dealers.
