Fog of War is a good rule of combat to highlight two of my favorite monsters. The two highlights for this is a mix of attack and defense and both can be used together or separately with other strategies.
The only catch is that you must be at least in Silver league since the two legendaries in this spotlight needs to be at least level 2. You can only have a level 1 legendary in Bronze and Novice.

Chain Golem is a bit of on an expensive side because he is a neutral monster and has a lot of compatibility with other Splinters. You can get yours for $29.93 for a level 1 and $80 for a level 2. Getting the level 2 gives you almost $10 discount as you need 3 cards for it to level up.

Chain Golem's rental price almost acts the same. You can rent a level 1 for a cheap 5.95 DEC per day but a level 2 shoots up to 26.26 DEC per day.

Chaos Dragon, for an unknown reason, is cheaper than it should be. It costs only $3.85 for a level 1 and $11.26 for a level 2. This is way cheaper than other legendaries which I strongly disagree.

You can rent a level 2 Chaos Dragon for 10.35 DEC whcih is quite affordable. However, I would suggest getting to at least Silver so you can use the level 2 legendaries which Chaos Dragon is very strong at.

Chain Golem has a decent everything except for speed. He has a decent amount of health and armor and a good 3 damage. He only has 2 speed but that is okay since his main role is to absorb damage.
At level 1, Shield is unlocked. Shield halves all melee and range damage to this monster. If the damage is 1 before the effect applies, it would become 0 and is negated.
At level 2, Void is unlocked. Void halves all magic damage to this monster. If the damage is 1 before the effect applies, it would become 0 and is negated.
The combination of Shield and Void is very strong to be unlocked at level 2.
At level 3, Piercing is unlocked. Monsters with Piercing ability allows the excess damage to armor inflict to health. If the opponent has 1 armor and Chain Golem has 3 Piercing damage, the excess 2 damage will be inflicted to health.
At level 4, Stun is unlocked. Monsters with Stun ability has the chance of giving Stunned effect on opponents hit by their attacks. Stunned opponents skips their next turn.
Stats | Chaos Dragon

Chaos Dragon may have high mana cost but every bit of it is worth the trouble. He has high damage, good complementing abilities and high health that you can use as a Sneak blocker. The only downside is that for it to be "good", you need to play at least a level 2 Chaos Dragon and must be at least in Silver. There is a huge power spike for Chaos Dragon once he reaches level 2.
At level 1, Flying and Scattershot abilities are unlocked.
Monsters with Flying ability gains 15% increased evasion against melee and range attacks against non-flying monsters.
Monsters with Scattershot changes their targeting priority to random. This cannot be affected by Taunt and bypasses other abilities that changes targeting priority such as Snipe, or Opportunity.
At level 2, Blast is unlocked. Monsters with Blast ability inflicts half of the main damage to monsters in front and back of the main target. The damage is rounded up and follows the type of the monster's damage type.
At level 3, Blind is unlocked. Monsters with Blind ability has a chance of inflicting Blind status to opponent it hits. Blinded opponents have 25% less chance of hitting an opponent with their attacks with the exception of magic damage, which always hits due to game mechanics.

Summoner: Camila Sungazer: Complements Chain Golem's Shield ability. Low mana cost legendary summoner which allows you to use high level monsters at an affordable rental price.
- Chain Golem: Best monster in Fog of War. Since there's no Sneak, Snipe and Opportunity, most attacks will come from the front. Chain Golem's Shield and Void abilities halve all damage he gets except poison or fatigue.
- Arachne Thug: Secondary tank due to his Reach ability. Has high 3 melee damage.
- Djinn Miurat: I added him due to his high health and magic damage. Sometimes double as an extra tank due to high health.
- Queen of Crows: Has Headwinds that reduces all range damage by 1. Works really well with Chain Golem's Shield ability.
- Chaos Dragon: A very strong monster at level 2 when Blast is unlocked. Since Chaos Dragon has magic damage, he also inflicts blast magic damage, which cannot miss and passes through armor. Also good on Fog of War since his Scattershot ability isn't disabled by the rules of combat.
- Magi Necrosi: Has Camouflage which allows him to not be able to be targeted unless Magi Necrosi is on first position. Also has high 3 magic damage.
αͺIαͺ YOαα αTαα©TEGY α―OαKEαͺ?
Yes. Chain Golem was able to tank a lot of damage because all damage to him will be halved due to his two abilities. Since Fog of War removes Sneak, Snipe and Opportunity abilities, this means most of my opponent's attack will come from the front and will be blocked by my Chain Golem. My magic damage back rows, then chip on my enemy as my monsters tank up the damage.

If I have Elven Mystic at level 4, I would change Magi Necrosi over him. Elven Mystic has Silence ability at level 4 which reduces all opponent's magic damage by 1. This means my oppponent will have to deal with a -1 Melee from Camila Sungazer, -1 Range from Queen of Crows, and -1 Magic damage from Elven Mystic. All of this while having Chain Golem halve all the excess damage from my opponents and if those damage is 1 before the effect of Shield or Void applies, they will be negated instead.
This is a very solid combo to absorb almost all damage by Chain Golem.
π«π πππ ππππ Chain Golem and Chaos Dragon on Fog of War rules of combat ? πΎππ ππ πΎππ πππ?
Yes. Chain Golem is a strong tank candidate because of what I stated in the lineup section. The only downside is that using Death splinter, he doesn't have any Tank Heal support but is still strong enough to take high damage before dying.
Chaos Dragon is an underrated card because it is only strong at level 2. At level 2, you get both Blast damage and an extra magic damage. At 3 magic damage, your blast damage increases by 1 meaning not only Chaos Dragon inflicts 3 magic damage to the main target but also 2 magic damage to monsters beside it. Since he has magic damage type, his blast also has the same damage type which means it doesn't miss and passes through armor.
