The wealth in the world | Ladies of Hive Qotw #63

The end of the year is coming towards us faster than anything. You feel everything around you is starting to reflect on itself. On the radio you have the standard top 100 lists from last year, on television you have the lists from all the people who have passed last year. And on the interwebz you can all sorts of timelines of what people have done and achieved over the last year.

Especially when you look at the financial side of everything cryptowise, I think a lot of people have had a pretty successful year. If you hadn’t that? Maybe you were not well enough positioned or also an option is that you were gambling too much. But when you had not that crazy weird tokens, the balance is yours.

Today I saw a message from someone on Twitter who was reflecting on himself of the gains he made last year and comparing that to what it had brought him last year in terms of happiness. Girlfriend left, travelled Europe by himself, and overall having the feeling of not really achieving anything.

Exactly this suits the Ladies of Hive question of the week #63 perfectly.

Every day, many people are becoming more and more obsessed with money and fame. There is a question many have thought about:
Would you trade 10 years of life for wealth and fame?

This is exactly what this dude was talking about. Also I have never seen so many people striving for being an internet influencer just to get ‘the fame.’ The fame? The fact that people recognize you in the streets? No thanks a lot. The fact that everyone is trying to take a stand on what you are doing? No thanks.

And wealth as you see to the guy who was on twitter. Wealth is something you need to use wisely and make life easier with. But wealth on itself is not a goal of any kind. What are you going to do? Chill all day in a hammock? As I was writing yesterday you need something to balance it out. You need to have something fulfilling, and fulfilling is not the amount of likes you get in a day just to get your dopamine rush.

Trading 10 years of life for that? Not a thought in my mind that would even think about this honestly. Living laid back low key, but with some purpose…That is quality of life!
