Ladies of Hive Community Contest #81

Hello, dear friends ladies of hive greetings🙏. here is my post about the question asked about what vegetables you like to grow I am writing about that It is my hobby when I get time in summer I love to grow vegetables. Likewise, most of the summer here is cold we live close to the sea its windy but still, we engage to do this. getting contact with nature as well as five elements when we work with soil the earth energy flows when watering plants the water gives some energy. the sun shines the heat from the sun makes warm energy and blowing the wind fills our body with fresh air at the last working in open place the space make our heart open. So we love it.

The bright and long days make vegetables grow very fast even though we have a short summer. we tried many different vegetables some of them are very good to grow the tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, pumpkins, sugar peas, herbs like chives, parsley, dill, mint, thyme, oregano, coriander, berries redcurrant, raspberries, and strawberries. The rhubarb
last year was very good for harvest. we got lots of berries, sweet dumpling squash, potatoes, and sweet peas. the same things we are trying this year.

some are very easy to grow and come each year without any problems one of them is rhubarb. It does not need any special care it was hiding underground the whole winter and suddenly appears when warm days start. it does not need water every day, no special soil or fertilizer. it comes and goes type of vegetable with nice bright colors and in late summer bloom with flowers. it is very famous here people make many different kinds of recipes from this vegetable. mostly sweet dishes. many times I tried to make some sour spicy curries and soups but was not very impressed. But making compote, jam and soup with cream are the best recipes we regularly make. today I am making something new a variety of Falooda featuring rhubarb compote which I freshly made today.

This year started with rhubarb which is very common in Scandinavian gardens. last year it occupied a big place so I dug some up and gave it away to some of my friends and they are very happy about it.
