We celebrate different holidays but the most popular ones likely celebrated around the world are Easter and Christmas. Well there's other days where my country gives holidays to celebrate each event like independence day, democracy day, teachers day, workers day. These only may just take one or two days.
Well for me, my most favorite holiday is the Christmas holiday. Christmas is the period where we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. This season brings so much joy to everyone.
We are in November and a few weeks from now we will be celebrating Christmas. Christmas is mostly celebrated on December 25th which follows the New year holiday. One reason I love it is because it is one of the longest holidays in the year. Most schools and offices close by 23rd December to resume 3rd or so of January. It gives people time to have a long rest and travel to meet their family.
The Christmas holiday seems to be one of the most celebrated holidays so I love its season. Everyone travels to meet their family they haven't seen since the beginning of the year. My house is full with my siblings and nephew and I love that joy.
During Christmas gifts are also exchanged and it's fun. Most times people save really hard just because it is Christmas with the joy of entering a new year entirely hit differently.
Another reason I love the Christmas period is its weather. Some call it winter, why here in my country we call it Harmattan. The weather is so cold and dry and it gives a good feeling. You don't have to sweat a lot unlike the dry season with heavy sun.
Also Christmas decorations are beautiful and makes the environment look so fine. We also host Christmas carol and sing Christmas songs.
I love that it is approaching and I can't just wait 😉
