Happy Holidays to ALL of you | Ladies of hive #164

So here it is ... Merry Christmas, everybody's having fun. Look to the future, it's only just begun ...

Are you also listening to those Xmas songs on the radio singing out loud? Okay, let's get to the things I wanted to share with you today. I don't have much to tell you today, but I wanted to show up in this last month of the year.

First Things First

Yes, I'm still alive but lately, my health hasn't been going well. I'm experiencing a lot of pain. The weather here in the Netherlands is outright sh*t, it's raining almost every day. We had a few days of cold weather with freezing temperatures. The cold and freezing are a bit better, but unfortunately, we're back in the higher temperatures and loads of rain again. This weather type is not good for me, all that wetness does not do any good for rheumatic complaints. But that's the way it is, hopefully the coming year will be better. You can ask me next December!

Xmas

But enough of that. Let's talk about more festive things. How about your holiday/Xmas plans? Our plans are nothing special, and yet, so very special! We will be at home together, playing games, playing cards, watching TV, and enjoying snacks and drinks.

For dinner we have gourmet food one evening and a roast from the oven the other evening. I am already looking very much forward to that. It's really nothing special, but it is just the two of us ... and that is already special enough. The atmosphere makes it even more special. All that Xmassy stuff around us.

Driving home for Xmas

Maybe we'll drive around again and just maybe a colleague/friend will join us for dinner, we invited him because he would otherwise be home alone, his housemate recently passed away. I know that being alone in this time of the year can be more difficult, and people can feel even more lonely. So we wanted to give some support and invited him to come over and spend some time with us. It's just a tiny thing to do and it can give some relief for someone else. At least, that's what we hope.

Family Time

On New Year's Eve, we were invited to my partner's youngest daughter's house, so we will spend New Year's Eve with the family and spend time with out grandson. It will be a busy party there, because her mother & partner, sister, us, her parents-in-law, two aunts with their partners, and some friends, and often nieces as well... But it is always very well taken care of. , food and drinks, and fun, what more could we wish for?

One Wish!

And if I had one magical wish for Christmas it would be for lasting world peace for everyone. Unfortunately, I also know that this is a utopia. So I will just keep it close to myself. And if I look at what my magical Christmas wish would be, It would be the wish that I could be and stay healthy! Because with that, I could alleviate many of our current problems. If you could have one magical Christmas wish what would yours be?

Happy Holidays to ALL of you!
