**AN IDEALISTIC APPROACH** 107th EDITION of the LADIES OF HIVE COMMUNITY CONTEST

1️⃣ If you were a ghost and could possess people, what would you make them do?

This is an interesting question, thanks @saffisara for your ideas.

When I think of ghosts, I think of Halloween, kids with sheets over them as they run around the neighborhood collecting goodies.

Upon further reflection, my brain moved my thoughts into a more spiritual mode. I believe all human beings have an inner soul if you will, a heart that's more than the beating one in the middle of our chest. But a place in us that keeps us centered in our humanness. We are all children of the universe.

SHARING

If I could make humans find their center and fill that space with love, the world would be a better place.

WE WOULD DANCE MORE

SMILE MORE

HAVE MORE EMPATHY AND UNDERSTANDING

If I had this magic ability to possess people, I would make them learn to love themsevles, to find the good in others, to walk in someone else's shoes, to be kind and joyful for all the gifts around us. To be grateful to be alive to spread the message of love, hope, charity and most of all, love thy neighbor as thy self.

SHUN WAR AND VIOLENCE

Anger, chaos, hate, injustice would no longer be in our vocabulary, if I was QUEEN.

Our time would be spent taking care of each other and doing things that benefits us all. I would whisper in the ears of all be kind.

HOPE AND DREAMS

It's a big world, with many different people, all with their own needs and wants, but if we can have hope and dream of a balanced and peaceful world, where greed no longer exists, a place where giving is more satisfying than receiving my fantasy would be fulfilled.

Religious or not these words can guide our world to a sweeter, more peaceful place.

The prayer of St. Francis, my prayer, since eighth grade.

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.
Amen.

Powerful words.

Desiderata: Original Text
This is the original text from the book where Desiderata was first published.

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Now I may be an idealist but these words are true, all humans have the capacity to make the world a better place for all .

What is an idealist?

Is it good to be idealistic?

To illustrate, here are all the strengths (even occasionally) idealistic people have over everyone else: 1.They seek the best in others. Because they immediately see the humanity in everyone, they are able to love others unconditionally. They are more forgiving, accepting and open-minded..
