Es por esto que les vengo a contar de algunos de mis viajes, en especial los que he hecho en solitario.

Siempre encantado viajar, y lo he hecho sola y acompañada, cada una tiene su emoción distinta, cuando vas acompañada puedes hablar con la otra persona y puedes compartir momentos y vivencias que se dan durante el viaje, pero sola es emocionante, porque todo lo vives tú, sin desperdicio, todos los momentos maravillosos, todas las ilusiones, se te llenan los ojos de cosas de momentos nuevos, de paisajes nuevos, de vivencias nuevas y hay que aprender a disfrutarlo: nosotros tenemos que aprender a disfrutar nuestra soledad.
I have always loved to travel, and I have done it alone and accompanied, each one has its different emotion, when you go accompanied you can talk with the other person and you can share moments and experiences that occur during the trip, but alone is exciting, because you live everything, without waste, all the wonderful moments, all the illusions, your eyes are filled with new moments, new landscapes, new experiences and you have to learn to enjoy it: we have to learn to enjoy our solitude.
A veces pasan vicisitudes cuando viaja sola, por ejemplo cuando te deja un avión, que me ha pasado, en una oportunidad iba desde Cumaná para Maracaibo (atravesando toda Venezuela) y el avión con el que iba a hacer trasbordo, en mi escala en Maiquetía se fue, porque tuve un retardo en la salida del de Cumaná y tuve que pasar toda la noche en el aeropuerto de Maiquetía. Pues sin amargarme y para disfrutar de la aventura, no le presté atención a la adversidad, saque una novela y me instalé a leer, luego se acercó uno de los vigilantes del aeropuerto, se sentó conmigo y hemos pasado toda la noche hablando de cualquier cantidad de cosas, en ese momento yo tenía 17 años, y viajaba con un permiso de viaje y no podía salir del aeropuerto. Al otro día tempranito salió otro avión hacia Maracaibo y allí me embarqué me senté al lado de un señor muy respetable y comencé a conversar con él, resulta de que era muy amigo de las personas que me iban a recibir en Maracaibo, y aprovechó de enviarles una tarjeta de Navidad a mis amigos. Fue muy buena y divertida esa aventura.
Sometimes vicissitudes happen when you travel alone, for example when a plane leaves you, that has happened to me, once I was going from Cumaná to Maracaibo (crossing all Venezuela) and the plane with which I was going to transfer, in my stopover in Maiquetía left, because I had a delay in the departure from Cumaná and I had to spend the whole night in the airport of Maiquetía. Well, without being bitter and to enjoy the adventure, I did not pay attention to the adversity, I took out a novel and settled down to read, then one of the airport security guards approached me, sat down with me and we spent the whole night talking about any number of things, at that time I was 17 years old, and I was traveling with a travel permit and could not leave the airport. The next day early in the morning another plane left for Maracaibo and there I boarded the plane, I sat next to a very respectable man and began to talk with him, it turned out that he was a very good friend of the people who were going to receive me in Maracaibo, and he took the opportunity to send a Christmas card to my friends. It was a very good and fun adventure.
En otra oportunidad iba sola en autobús, para Maracay, estado Aragua, y cuando me monte en wn el.bus en Cumaná, comienzo a hablar y a conocer a las personas alrededor de mi asiento, y yo emocionadísima que iba a viajar, entonces una señora me preguntó que sí viajaba sola y le dije que si, tendría yo como unos 18 años, el autobus arrancó y no habíamos salido de Cumaná, cuando me dormí, la próxima vez que abrí los ojos fue porque las personas con las que estaba hablando antes de salir de Cumaná, me dijeron "Mira tú ¿ venías para maracay?" porque ya llegamos... de hecho es el viaje más corto que he hecho en mi vida, no me di cuenta de cuándo pasó. Claro en la actualizadad no puedes dejar que eso pase, por tu seguridad, porque es un riesgo muy grande. Las cosas cambiaron y no para bien 😢
Cada vez que me ha tocado viajar siempre llevado un libro para leer y una labor para hacer sea un bordado o sea un tejido algo que me distraiga, en muchos casos eso es muy útil.

He viajado sola para Margarita en una cantidad gigantesca de veces, debido a que yo estudiaba en la universidad en Margarita y muchas de las veces me tocaba viajar sola en el ferry o en la lancha, me encantaba el ferry, aunque es más tiempo eran de 4 a 5 horas de Cumaná a Margarita, y me daba chance a dormir y me gustaba ver el panorama, pues porque uno va afuera y va recibiendo todo el aire, ve el paisaje del mar, que me encanta tanto y conoce personas, que me encanta hablar. En la lancha es más encerrado, dura 2 horas la travesía y bueno le da chance solo a ver la televisión, porque no lo dejan salir afuera, que les digo que es más divertido el Ferry. En una oportunidad hubo un mar de leva, que ni el ferry, ni la lancha salieron y me quedé botaba en Punta de Piedras, bueno me tranquilice y me senté al lado del puesto de la guardia nacional, en el malecón y allí pasé la noche leyendo y durmiendo, me atreví a dormir allí cerquita del puesto, porque nadie se iba a meter conmigo estando ahí al lado de la guardia, ya las cosas no estaban tan sanas como antes.

Once there was a rough sea, neither the ferry nor the boat left and I stayed in Punta de Piedras, well I calmed down and sat next to the National Guard post on the boardwalk and there I spent the night reading and sleeping, I dared to sleep there near the post, because no one was going to mess with me being there next to the guard, things were not as healthy as before.
En la actualidad me ha tocado viajar sola hacia el encuentro con mi familia o a hacer diligencias fuera de mi ciudad y siempre hay que estar al tanto de todos los detalles, porque las cosas han cambiado y no para bien, en ninguna parte del mundo puedes descuidar tu equipaje, por aquello del tráfico de drogas, no te puedes descuidar lo que consumes por aquello del tráfico de personas y tienes que estar al pendiente si trabas amistad con un desconocido, pues nunca se sabe la intención, así que hay que ojo avisor a los detalles. Saben, mi primera profesión fue marino y después me convencí de ser docente, pero en mi primera profesión hay unos versos de navegación, los versos de Thomas Grey, que siempre he tomado en cuenta para mi vida personal y entre ellos hay uno que es mi mantra y dice así: " sigue siempre avante y ten por siempre además que sí hay riesgo por delante modera, para o ve atrás".
