Why do you think society places such a high value on beauty
when it serves no functional purpose?
Before I move toward today's topic, I am posing a question to you;
Have you ever wondered why 90% of the women population in the world is filled with the usage of artificial products? If yes, why? If No, I would like to know too. Feel free to buzz in the comment section.
Moving on to today's topic. Beauty serves a purpose in our today's world. Earth inhabitants have taken 'beauty' as a way to judge people. How beautiful you look will state how you will be judged or addressed. That has been the way things are the moment the artificial product was discovered.
As a lady, it is possible to find yourself unattractive when you see other ladies with the use of a makeover. Using these artificial products helps enhance people's appearance which makes it almost impossibly hard to differentiate an old woman from a young lady.
When people use makeup, it builds one's courage to face the world. Making up is like a mask. No one can see what lies underneath. Makeup helps cover the pain of a miserable soul. It is like a facade to show people who you aren't.
While some makeup to beautify themselves, others wear it to mask their pains or cover up a bruised body due to maltreatment.
Now, to the question posed.
Why do you think society places such a high value on beauty when it serves no functional purpose?
Society is known to be where words are heard and shared. Among the whispers of men, you'd be able to pick up a word or two regarding makeup.
Society places a high value on makeup because makeup is beautiful. It is the usage of colors that is fascinating and gets even the strongest man standing on his feet in awe.
Makeup enhanced the beauty of humans in such an unspeakable way. The way many wear their makeup makes you gasp like a fish that has been in a desert and just found water to live(in the case of humans, the zeal to live).
When it comes to elevating people's moods from sour to self-satisfying one, makeup has found ways to do that in the hands of professional artists who take us to another world... A world beyond our mere imaginations. It is like seeing a rainbow after a rain-filled day. The feeling warms your heart and keeps you safe, just like how makeup does to others.
The fact that makeup serves no functional purpose has never stopped society from wanting it because of the change it brings.
