🔸 10 years ago, what do you remember as a woman -vs- what is happening in the world today. One memory and what the change has been whether positive or negative.
Soy una joven de 25 años, así que al recordar la vida hace 10 años, tendría yo apenas 15 años, una adolescente en secundaria, cursando ya su bachillerato. Y si puedo decir, que la vida era diferente.
Tal vez parte de esto influya en la perspectiva que tengo ahora sobre la vida y mi desarrollo personal, profesional y emocional 💗
I'm 25 years old, so looking back on life 10 years ago, I was only 15 years old, a teenager in middle school, already in high school. And if I may say, life was different.
Maybe part of this influences the perspective I have now about life and my personal, professional and emotional development. 💗
Una de las cosas que siempre cambian y van evolucionando como todo son las modas. La forma de vestirse, la forma de peinarse, la forma de hablar y hasta de escribir. ¡Todo evoluciona!
Recuerdo que lo que estaba en tendencia eran los flecos (O pollinas, como le decimos aquí), que le cubrieran a uno media cara, o que se notara bastante al menos. Tanto así que se fijaban con sujetadores y las muchachas a cada momento se pasaban la mano para acomodarse el fleco.
One of the things that are always changing and evolving like everything else are the fashions. The way you dress, the way you comb your hair, the way you talk and even the way you write, everything evolves!
I remember that what was in trend were the fringes (or pollinas, as we say here), that covered half of your face, or at least it was quite noticeable. So much so that they were fixed with bras and the girls were always running their hands to adjust the fringe.

En particular, al tener un cabello rizado con tratamientos para alisarlo, no me quedaban este tipo de peinados, así que muy poco los usaba. Pero siempre insistía cuando iba al salón de belleza a hacerme un corte de cabello en que me sacaran mi fleco, así fuera un poco.
In particular, having curly hair with treatments to straighten it, I didn't fit this type of hairstyle, so I rarely used them. But I always insisted when I went to the salon to get a haircut that they take out my bangs, even if it was just a little bit.
Forma de trabajar
Recuerdo ver a mi hermana mayor trabajando de día y estudiando de noche, con su trabajo ayudaba a los gastos de la casa, y sus gastos personales, pagar la matrícula de la universidad, comprar cosas de primera necesidad. Siempre estaba estudiando o trabajando, salía de casa muy temprano y volvía pasadas las 10 de la noche, era un trote bastante fuerte.
Yo, en particular, logre estudiar hasta mis pasantías sin trabajar, debido a que me ayudaba con Hive haciendo lo que me gustaba, jugando en Splinterlands, aparte de mis pequeños emprendimientos. Luego en el trabajo tuve la ventaja de que se adaptaban al horario de mi universidad y me apoyaban con los estudios. Es decir, tuve más tiempo para dedicarme a mí, a mis estudios. Tuve más oportunidades.
Lo que quiero llegar con estas historias, es que al día de hoy hay muchas posibilidades para las personas que quieren seguir adelante, además que luego de la pandemia se abrió una ventana de oportunidad para el teletrabajo. Muchas mujeres que se dedicaban a la casa y el hogar tuvieron la oportunidad de trabajar sin descuidar su casa y sus hijos, se crearon nuevos hábitos de vida, estudios a distancia, las oportunidades crecieron para todos. Esto es algo que ni hubiera pensado cuando tenía 15 años.
Además de todas las posibilidades que existen en el área digital y redes sociales, permitiendo la promoción de los bienes y servicios que las personas ofrecen.
Way of working
I remember seeing my older sister working during the day and studying at night, with her work she helped with the expenses of the house, and her personal expenses, paying for college tuition, buying basic necessities. She was always studying or working, leaving the house very early and coming back after 10 pm, it was quite a hard jog.
I, in particular, managed to study until my internships without working, because I was helping myself with Hive doing what I liked, playing Splinterlands, apart from my little ventures. Then at work I had the advantage that they adapted to my university schedule and supported me with my studies. That is to say, I had more time to dedicate to myself, to my studies. I had more opportunities.
What I want to get at with these stories is that today there are many possibilities for people who want to move forward, and also that after the pandemic a window of opportunity opened for teleworking. Many women who were dedicated to the house and home had the opportunity to work without neglecting their home and their children, new habits of life were created, distance learning, opportunities grew for everyone. This is something I wouldn't have thought of when I was 15 years old.
In addition to all the possibilities that exist in the digital area and social networks, allowing the promotion of goods and services that people offer.

Otra de las cosas que ha avanzado es el acceso a la información, a la educación, cada día crece más la oferta de cursos y especializaciones en las diferentes plataformas digitales. Ya el cursar una carrera universitaria no es una limitante para encontrar un trabajo que te guste y que sea bien remunerado.
De hecho, muchas personas se forman día a día a través de las mismas y ofrecen sus talentos y forman parte de grandes equipos de trabajo.
Access to information
Another of the things that has advanced is the access to information, to education, every day the offer of courses and specializations in the different digital platforms grows more and more. Nowadays, having a university degree is not a limitation to find a job that you like and that is well paid.
In fact, many people are formed every day through the same and offer their talents and are part of large teams.
Como todo hay cosas buenas y malas, suelo escuchar a la gente decir que se están perdiendo los valores, pero soy partidaria de que los valores no se han perdido, solo que se han dejado de aplicar.
Además, otro cambio significativo ha sido como se ha alzado la voz sobre temas que eran tabú, la voz de las mujeres que era silenciada. Hoy día se han iniciado movimientos para la legalización del aborto. Se han comenzado movimientos sociales para evitar que los violadores sean unidos a sus víctimas. Se ha creado conciencia y visualización sobre la lucha de la mujer que puede surgir en cualquiera de las etapas de su vida.
Like everything there are good and bad things, I often hear people say that values are being lost, but I am in favour of the fact that values have not been lost, only that they have ceased to be applied.
Also, another significant change has been how the voice has been raised on issues that were taboo, the voice of women that was silenced. Today, movements have begun for the legalization of abortion. Social movements have begun to prevent rapists from being joined to their victims. Awareness and visualization has been created about women's struggles that can arise at any stage of their lives.
Así que creo que cada día vamos avanzando hacia una nueva y mejorada versión de nosotros mismos, aprendiendo de nuestros errores y usando dicha información para nuestra retroalimentación.
Solo nos queda tener un poco de conciencia ecológica para tener un mundo donde vivir mañana.
So I believe that every day we are moving towards a new and improved version of ourselves, learning from our mistakes and using that information for our feedback. We just need to have a little bit of ecological awareness to have a world to live in tomorrow.
