Hello ladies. Hope we are all fine? Happy new month to us all. This week's topic is really an intimate one Do you believe in lifelong fidelity?
Well, I think this refers to married couples, not a boyfriend/girlfriend thing, !LOL
Fidelity here means complete commitment, trust, and respect between husband and wife.
In marriage, absolute commitment, trust and respect is really important so as to keep the union moving. Where one fails to commit, respect or trust the other partner then the marriage will hit the rocks sooner than later.
Thus said, I believe in lifelong fidelity because of the numerous benefits it offers in marriage. Absolute commitment is necessary to preserve the sanctity of marriage. Come to think of it, these days where we have high prevalence of diseases, one ought to respect his or her partner and stay true to him/her. This way, family union will be guaranteed.
Conversely, lack of commitment or no commitment at all is really responsible for the high rise of divorce in our society. There are also other factors, aside infidelity though. But infidelity tops the chart.
Come to think of it - Which would you prefer: to be able to see the future or to be able to see the past?
This too is a difficult call really. But you see, past is gone and has become history. Although if one knows what had happened in the past, it will help shape the future.
However, one cannot change the past. It is more preferable to know about the future, upcoming events, and then control or even avoid the negatives that could happen to us. For instance, imagine when one learns that a terrible famine will happen in his/her location in a fortnight. Do you think that such a fellow will be in that location in the coming fortnight? Certainly not. Thsts the power of knowing the future really. This therefore informs my decision to go for the earlier rather than the later option.
