SONG THAT MOVES ME
Without a doubt in this case it would be "Sweetest devotion " by Adele. This singer is my favorite female performer, I find her voice beautiful and the melodies with which she accompanies it are simple but touching, there are many songs of hers that I find beautiful and that touch my heart since she usually writes about love and heartbreak, things that anyone can feel identified with, but in this case I chose this song because it is a song that she dedicates to her son and of course when I listened to it carefully I felt completely moved because I remembered mine.

I must confess that I already knew this song before I had Leo, my son, and honestly it was not one of my favorites, but one day, a couple of years ago, I was washing his clothes and diapers, it is a habit of mine to play music when I do things around the house, that time I was listening to Adele and this song came out while I was hanging his clothes and I was very moved with the song, I began to listen to it and feel differently, from that moment I connected with it.

This song fills my heart with love and tenderness towards my little boy, I think it is a beautiful composition that as a mom manages to touch my soul and that most of the times I listen to it even manages to get a tear out of how identified I feel with it and how much it makes me remember the love I have for my son. The part that I like the most and that touches me the most is the one that says:

MY FAVORITE SEASON
Definitely and without a second thought I choose autumn, I am a rain lover and this is the rainiest season in the area of Mexico where I live. I love to hear the pattering of the rain and smell that lovely scent of wet soil that reigns during almost all this season, plus it is a perfect intermediate point between the heat of summer and the cold of winter. Another thing I love about those months is the beautiful colors that can be observed while the leaves fall from the trees, the ocher, brown and yellow tones that paint the city seem magical to me.

Here in Mexico during this season is celebrated one of the festivities that I have learned to enjoy the most since I emigrated to this country: The Day of the Dead, is a holiday in which the ancestors are honored by assembling an Altar or Ofrenda with elements that represent them or things they enjoyed in life (food, hobbies, photos, objects, etc.. ) and decorated with beautiful flowers that only bloom during this season, this is really nostalgic and unites families in the same feeling: remembering and honoring those who are no longer with us. This festivity makes me long for the arrival of autumn year after year because besides being emotional, it is a celebration of colors and music, because here the dead are remembered with joy, affection and love, not sadness.
Another element that I love about this season in food, the pumpkin season begins and I love it and it is the only time when I can get it easily, it also appears the tangerine which is one of my favorite fruits and is only sold in the autumn months and finally the Pan de muerto, this is a type of bread that is made in Mexico especially for the festivity of the day of the dead and is truly delicious, I think it is my favorite sweet bread, plus at home we have already taken the tradition of baking our own to decorate the offerings of the deceased, so it is also an activity that we look forward to throughout the year.

So without a doubt this season would also be the season that represents me. Autumn is usually associated with the harvest, the earth provides us with its fruits and I am a person who enjoys providing: help, care, comfort or just a shoulder to cry on and a safe space to vent. I also believe that autumn is a season in which, because of the rains and the cold that starts to emerge, people are used to spend more time at home and this is something that defines me completely, I am not a person who is used to partying or being out all day, that's why I enjoy this season so much, because my idea of a perfect day is a good movie, a hot chocolate and a heavy rain in the background, I am totally homey and that is something I associate a lot with autumn.

Hola queridas #ladiesofhive, desde que leí de este concurso me dieron muchísimas ganas de participar ya que su temática me llamó mucho la atención, sobre todo la parte de la canción, porque la música es parte imprescindible en mi vida, no porque sea músico o cantante, sino porque disfruto mucho de ella y me conecto bastante con las canciones, así que vamos adelante con las preguntas de la dinámica.
CANCIÓN QUE ME CONMUEVE
Sin duda alguna en este caso sería "Sweetest devotion" de Adele. Esta cantante es mi intérprete femenina favorita, su voz me parece preciosa y las melodías con las que la acompaña son sencillas pero conmovedoras, hay muchas canciones de ella que me parecen hermosas y que me llegan al corazón ya que ella normalmente escribe sobre amor y desamor, cosas con las que cualquiera puede sentirse identificado, pero en este caso escogí esta canción porque es una canción que ella le dedica a su hijo y por supuesto que cuando la escuché con detenimiento me sentí completamente conmovida porque me acordé del mío.

Debo confesar que esta canción yo ya la conocía antes de tener a Leo, mi hijo, y honestamente no era de mis favoritas, pero un día, hace un par de años, yo me encontraba lavando su ropita y pañalitos, es una costumbre mía poner música cuando hago cosas en la casa, esa vez estaba escuchando a Adele y salió esta canción mientras colgaba su ropita y me dio mucha ternura la canción, la comencé a escuchar y a sentir de forma diferente, desde ese momento me conecté con ella.

Esta canción llena mi corazón de amor y ternura hacia mi pequeño, creo que es una composición hermosa que como mamá logra tocar mi alma y que la mayoría de las veces que la escucho incluso logra sacarme una lágrima de lo identificada que me siento con ella y de lo mucho que me hace recordar el amor que tengo por mi hijo. La parte que más me gusta y que más me conmueve es la que dice:

MI ESTACIÓN FAVORITA
Definitivamente y sin pensarlo ni un segundo escojo el otoño, yo soy amante de la lluvia y esta es la estación más lluviosa en la zona de México donde vivo. Me encanta escuchar el golpeteo de la lluvia y oler ese encantador aroma a tierra mojada que reina durante casi toda esta estación, además de que es un punto intermedio perfecto entre el calor del verano y el frío del invierno. Otra de las cosas que me encanta de esos meses es los colores tan hermosos que se pueden observar mientras las hojas caen de los árboles, los tonos ocres, marrones y amarillos que pintan la ciudad me parecen mágicos.

Aquí en México durante esta estación se celebra una de las festividades que más he aprendido a disfrutar desde que emigré a este país: El Dia de Muertos, es una festividad en la que se honra a los antepasados mediante el montaje de un Altar u Ofrenda con elementos que los represente o cosas que ellos disfrutaban en vida (comida, aficiones, fotos, objetos, etc.) y se adorna con unas flores hermosas que sólo se dan en esta estación, esta temporada es realmente nostálgica y une a las familias en un mismo sentimiento: recordar y honrar a los que ya no están. Esta festividad me hace añorar la llegada del otoño año tras año ya que además de emotiva es una fiesta de colores y música, porque aquí a los muertos se les recuerda con mucha alegría, cariño y amor, no con tristeza.
Otro elemento que me encanta de esta estación en la comida, comienza la temporada de la calabaza que me encanta y es la única época en la que la puedo conseguir fácilmente, también aparece la mandarina que es una de mis frutas favoritas y que sólo la venden en los meses otoñales y por último el Pan de muerto, este es un tipo de pan que se hace en México especialmente para la festividad del día de muertos y es verdaderamente delicioso, creo que es mi pan dulce favorito, además de que en casa ya hemos tomado la costumbre de hornear el nuestro para adornar las ofrendas de los difuntos, así que además es una actividad que esperamos con muchas ganas durante todo el año.

Así que sin duda ésta estación también sería la estación que me representa. El otoño normalmente es asociado la cosecha, la tierra nos provee sus frutos y yo soy una persona que disfruta mucho proveer: ayuda, cuidados, consuelo o simplemente un hombro para llorar y un espacio seguro para desahogarse. También creo que el otoño es una estación en la que, por las lluvias y el frío que empieza a surgir, las personas acostumbran a pasar más tiempo en casa y esto es algo que me define completamente, yo no soy una persona que acostumbre a salir de fiesta, ni estar en la calle todo el día, por eso disfruto tanto esta estación, porque mi idea de una noche perfecta es una buena película, un chocolate caliente y una fuerte lluvia de fondo, soy totalmente hogareña y eso es algo que asocio con el otoño.
