I am happy for this week contest because it actually bring out something in me that I have been battling with. All my life starting from when I was a little girl, I started battling with loneliness. I was taking away from my mother and siblings. I lost my father even before I saw the day light. A special appreciation to @merit-ahama for this week's topic.
As I was born into the world as a fatherless child. Then when I grew up a little because my mother already had other children before, she felt that the only best thing for me was to give me out to other people who are a little bit rich and can cater for my education. But she was wrong. I was given to the person who will push me aside and do whatever that seems right to her. This was the beginning of loneliness for me.
This started from when I was seven. I never experienced what others call "motherly attention" of course you don't expect the woman I stayed with who is not my mother to begin to carry me as her own child. This is never the situation with most families here. If you are not born by that same person you are living with everyone around will know.
Guys, this continued until when I was seventeen. I decided to fight for myself. Even though the battle was very though for me because I was still small, but I fought it till I won. I was given the permission to live on my own and take good care of myself. I could not think of going back to my mother in the village, because I know that she is still struggling to take care of herself. So, I thought of doing something that will help me and my poor mother.
THE QUESTION IS WHY IS THERE SO MUCH LONELINESS OUT THERE?
Well, everyone may have a different answer here, but for me I think that why we have lots of people who are still battling with loneliness is because we have not taken it as our duty to care for them. No normal human being that will shun real love. I know of so many men those days that pretend that they want to help me, but they will always ask me to sleep with them. But I decided to hold on to God who later proved himself as my God.
In conclusion, we need to look at for those who are lonely and show them some love. When this is done, you will see alot of people coming out of loneliness.
