Today, it's been 5 years since I joined Hive (Steemit back then) platform. I became a member of Hive on January 10, 2018. I can say that I met Hive by chance. I was looking for an alternative video platform to You Tube and run into DTube at that times. I became a member of HIVE to become a member of DTube. You can also guess where my username came from. I was focused on DTube, but I didn't know HIVE was such a huge blogging platform. DTube was just, to my surprise, the tip of the iceberg. Later on, I started to examine HIVE in detail. It took me time to figure out how the HIVE blockchain run early on when I became a member.

Bugün, Hive (O zamanlar Steemit) platformuna katılalı 5 yıl oldu. Hive’a 10 Ocak 2018 tarihinde üye olmuştum. Hive ile şans eseri tanıştım diyebilirim, bu şans olmasaydı belki bugün hala HIVE’dan haberim olmayacaktı. O zamanlar, You Tube’ye alternatif bir video platformu arıyordum ve DTube ile karşılaştım. DTube’ye üye olmak için HIVE’a üye olmuştum. Kullanıcı adımın da nerden geldiğini tahmin edebilirsiniz. Ben DTube’ye odaklanmıştım, ama Hive’nin böylesine devasa bir blog platformu olduğunu bilmiyordum. Meğerse DTube buz dağının görünen kısmıymış. Sonrasında, HIVE’ı incelemeye başladım. Üye olduğum ilk zamanlarda Hive blokzincirinin nasıl işlediğini çözmem zaman almıştı.

The period when I became a member of HIVE was the times when cryptocurrencies had first made a splash. HIVE was more active than it is today and the token price was higher back then. Therefore, there were many members from both Turkiye and other countries. In the first months of my membership, I participated in approximately 25 competitions where posts were written on a different topic each week, contributing to the development of the TR Community and tag. These contests used to be organized by the largest TR community of that time. I can say that the contests were instructive and helped me quickly adapt to HIVE. I joined the TR help project, which supports the development of the community, its tag and new members later. During this period, the trend of the TR community and tag was very high, and an atmosphere of friendship was established.
HIVE’a üye olduğum dönem, kriptoparaların ilk sükse yaptığı zamanlardı. O zamanlar, HIVE bugünkünden daha aktifti ve token fiyatı daha yüksekti. Dolaysıyla, hem Türkiye’den hem de diğer ülkelerden çok sayıda üye vardı. Üyeliğimin ilk aylarında, TR topluluğu ve etiketinin gelişimine katkı sağlayan, her hafta farklı bir konuda makale yazımının yapıldığı yaklaşık 25 yarışmaya katıldım. Bu yarışmalar, o zamanın en büyük TR topluluğu tarafından düzenleniyordu. Yarışmalar hem öğretici oldu hem de HIVE’a hızlıca adapte olmamı sağladı diyebilirim. Sonraları yine topluluğun, etiketinin gelişimine ve yeni üyelere destek olan TR yardım projesine katıldım. Bu dönemde TR topluluğunun ve etiketinin trendi gayet yükselmişti ve bir arkadaşlık ortamı kurulmuştu.
Due to the fall in the price of HIVE and some other reasons, many members have left HIVE not to return in the summer of 2018. After this period, I rarely shared posts. I tried not to break away from HIVE by voting manually and automatically thanks to the apps such as Partiko and HIVE Auto. The parts I have mentioned as HIVE until now were actually on the Steemit platform. The HIVE platform was created by making a change called hardfork on the Steemit platform in March 2020. Thus, a second account with the same features of the account on Steemit was created on HIVE as well. Therefore, anyone who created an account before this date has two accounts on both Steemit and HIVE. Some people remained on Steemit knowingly or unknowingly about the existence of HIVE, while some of us switched to HIVE. I continued on HIVE by not being very active until the middle of 2021. The Hive Turkey Discord channel was not as active as it is now in that period.
2018 yılının yaz aylarına doğru HIVE’ın fiyatının düşmesi ve başka nedenler dolayı çok sayıda kişi geri dönmemek üzere HIVE’dan ayrıldılar. Ben de bu süreçten sonra nadiren yazı paylaştım. Partiko ve HIVE Auto gibi uygulamalarla manuel ve otomatik oylamalar yaparak HIVE’dan kopmamaya çalıştım. Buraya kadar HIVE olarak behsettiğim kısımlar aslında Steemit platformundaydı. 2020 Mart ayında Steemit platformunda sert çatallanma (hardfork) olarak adlandırılan değişikliğie gidilerek HIVE platformu oluşturulmuştur. Böylece, Steemit’teki hesapla aynı özellikleri taşıyan ikinci bir hesap HIVE’da yaratılmış oldu. Bu nedenle, bu tarihten önce hesap açan herkesin hem Steemit hem de HIVE’da hesabı bulunmaktadır. Bazı kişiler HIVE’nin varlığını bilerek veya bilmeyerek Steemit’te kaldı, bazılarımız ise HIVE tarafına geçtik. Ben yine 2021 yılının ortalarına kadar bu şekilde çok aktif olmayarak HIVE’da devam ettim. Bu süreçte Hive Türkiye Discord kanalı şimdiki gibi aktif değildi.

Because of the ongoing pandemic and restrictions in 2021, the number of social activities to be held was limited. As of August 2021, I started to increase my activity in HIVE. One of the factors in this is the @ecency mobile dapplication. Thanks to the Ecency dapplication, I could more easily read, comment and upvote on the posts on HIVE. Meanwhile, the activity of our Hive Turkey Discord channel and the number of members were increasing with both some old and new members coming back. It was also possible to see a post with the TR tag in HIVE. As a result of the developments in the Turkish Community, also Trliste curation trail has been active again three years later.
2021 ylında devam eden pandemi süreci ve kısıtlamalar nedeniyle yapılacak sosyal aktivite sayısı sınırlıydı. Ben de 2021 Ağustos ayından itibaren HIVE’daki aktifliğimi arttırmaya başladım. Bundaki etkenlerden biri @ecency mobil uygulamasıdır. Ecency uygulaması sayesinden HIVE’daki yazıları daha kolay okuyup, yorum yapıp ve oy verebiliyordum. Bu arada, Hive Türkiye Discord kanalımızın aktifliği ve üye sayısı da gerek geri gelen eski üyeler gerekse yeni üyeler ile gittikçe artıyordu. Artık HIVE’da TR etiketinde yazılar görmek de mümkündü. Türk Topluluğu’ndaki gelişmeler neticesinde Trliste kürasyon kuyruğu da üç yıl sonra tekrar aktif hale geldi.
I continued to be active in HIVE at full speed in 2022. 2022 was the year which I have shared the most posts, read the most posts, upvoted the most posts, received the most upvotes, commented on the most posts, and received the most comments on HIVE. This was not easy to realize and maintain, and I hope to do even more of this in 2023. I can say that 2022 is an extremely important year for the TR Community as well. In the last 4 years, 2022 was the year in which the Turkish Community was the most active and provided consistency. I wish the same for TR Community.
2022 yılında da HIVE’da aktif olmaya tam gaz devam ettim. 2022 yılı, HIVE'de en çok yazı paylaştığım, en çok HIVE ve HBD kazandığım, en çok yazı okuduğum, en çok paylaşıma oy verdiğim, en çok oy aldığım, paylaşımlara en çok yorum yaptığım ve en çok yorum aldığım yıl oldu. Bunu gerçekleştirmek ve sürdürmek kolay değildi, umarım 2023 yılında bunların daha da fazlasını yapacağım. 2022 yılının TR Topluluğu için de son derece önemli bir yıl olduğunu söyleyebilirim. Son 4 yıllık süreçte, 2022 yılı, Türk Topluluğun en aktif olduğu ve süreklilik sağlandığı bir yıl oldu. Aynı dileklerim TR Topluluğu için de geçerlidir.
Time passes by so quickly, I lost the track of five years. The earlier we join the HIVE platform, the more HIVE Power we accumulate. I wish everyone many HIVE Anniversaries and good luck. Thank you for reading.
