But war is inevitable in order to defend yourself and your homeland against those who attack you.

Çok kalabalıklar, yeterince askerimiz yok, savunmaya çekilmeliyiz. Etrafımızı sardılar. Ortada sıkıştık. Buradan bir an önce kurtulmalıyız. Yoksa hepimiz bu topraklarda şehit olacağız. Bu cümleleri vatanı uğruna savaşan bir askerden veya komutandan duyabilirsiniz. Savaşın içinde olmayı kimse kabul edemez. Ama size saldıran kişilere karşı da kendinizi ve vatanınızı savunmak için savaş kaçınılmaz oluyor.
Today I would like to take you to a museum where the story of the wars that the Turkish nation has won by fighting for its homeland in the past is told. The name of this museum is Anatolian Martyrs Museum.
Bugün sizleri, Türk milletinin geçmişte vatanı uğruna savaşarak kazanmış olduğu savaşların hikayesinin anlatıldığı bir müzeye götürmek istiyorum. Bu müzenin adı Anadolu Şehitler Müzesidir.
The museum is located in Antalya's Kepez district. The location of the museum was established in the place that was known as Antalya Yarn and Cotton Weaving Factory long ago. The Anatolian Martyrs Museum, located in the weaving park, was opened two years ago. At the Anatolian Martyrs Museum, the stories of our brave heroes who fell martyrs in the struggle of July 15, our women who achieved great success in the wars, and our victories in Manzikert and Istanbul, which left their mark on our history, are told. In addition, the pictures of the Cyprus Peace Movement and our wars against the Greeks are displayed visually in the museum.
Müze, Antalya' nın Kepez ilçesinde yer alıyor. Müzenin yeri çok önceleri Antalya İplik ve Pamuklu Dokuma fabrikası olarak geçen yerde kurulmuştur. Dokuma parkın içinde yer alan, Anadolu Şehitler müzesi, iki yıl önce hizmete açıldı. Anadolu Şehitler Müzesinde, 15 Temmuz mücadelesinde şehit düşen cesur kahramanlarımız, savaşlarda büyük başarı gösteren Kadınlarımız, tarihimize damgasını vuran Malazgirt ve İstanbul zaferlerimizin hikayeleri anlatılıyor. Bunun yanında Kıbrıs Barış Hareketi ve Yunanlılara karşı yapılan savaşlarımız resimleri müzede görsel olarak sergileniyor.
At the first entrance of the museum, on the wall, we see the image of Alp Arslan, one of the rulers of the Great Seljuk State, and the great victory of his soldiers against the Byzantine armies, and the writings about the war. Right next to it, there is talk of the Istanbul Victory of Fatih Sultan Mehmet Khan, one of the rulers of the most powerful periods of the Ottoman Empire, which closed an Age and opened an Age. The image here features the monarch's portrait and signature in a large bright yellow frame. Just below the signature is written the beautiful word that he said at that time. "We're Going to Conquer Hearts, Not Lands."
Müzenin ilk girişinde duvarda, Büyük Selçuklu Devletinin hükümdarlarından olan, Alp Arslan ve askerlerinin Bizans ordularına karşı kazanmış oldukları büyük zaferin görseli ve savaşla ilgili yapılan yazıları görüyoruz. Hemen yanı başında da Osmanlı İmparatorluğunun en güçlü dönemlerindeki hükümdarlarından biri olan Fatih Sultan Mehmet Han'ın Çağ kapatıp Çağ açan bir İstanbul Zaferinden söz ediliyor. Burada ki görselde hükümdarın geniş parlak sarı çerçevedeki portresi ve imzası yer alıyor. İmzanın hemen altında o dönemlerde söylemiş olduğu güzel sözü yazılmış. "Biz Toprakları Değil, Gönülleri Fethetmeye Gidiyoruz."
In the middle of the museum, a visual that made me feel emotional was prepared. Pictures of our soldiers and policemen who were martyred in wars are hanging from the ceiling, and underneath there is a cannon cart and a coffin wrapped in the Turkish flag. This scene is truly heart breaking.
Müzenin tam ortasında, beni de duygulandıran bir görsel hazırlanmış. Savaşlarda şehit düşen askerlerimizin ve polislerimizin resimleri tavandan sarkıtılmış, altında da top arabası ve Türk bayrağına sarılı bir tabut var. Bu sahne gerçekten insanın yüreğini sızlatıyor.
In the museum, we can see many pictures of successful wars that the Republic of Turkey has won in the past. One of those wars is the 1st İnönü, 2nd İnönü, Sakarya Battle and finally the War of Independence, which lived between the Turkish army and the Greek army. Images of the First World War, which concerns the whole world and the Ottoman Empire was later included, and the battle fronts were also tried to be shown with pictures. The old weapons, cannons, cutting tools and bullets used in the war are also presented to the visitors in the glass showcase.
Müzede, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin geçmişte kazanmış olduğu başarılı savaşların bir çok resimlerini görebiliyoruz. O savaşlardan biri de Türk ordusu ile Yunan ordusu arasında yaşayan 1. İnönü, 2. İnönü , Sakarya Meydan Savaşı ve son olarak da Kurtuluş savaşından bahsediliyor. Tüm dünyayı ilgilendiren ve Osmanlı İmparatorluğunun sonradan dahil edildiği 1. Dünya Savaşının görselleri ve savaşılan cepheleri de resimlerle gösterilmeye çalışılmış. Savaşta kullanılan eski silah, top, kesici alet ve mermiler de cam vitrinde ziyaretçilerinin beğenisine sunuluyor.
During the First World War, the Turkish army and the Russian army met in Sarıkamış district of Kars province in Turkey, and many of our soldiers froze to death due to the wrong war tactics of the Ottoman Empire in this tough war. The fact that the reflection of this event in the museum was tried to be explained and kept alive with images containing feathers was enough to freeze our blood.
- Dünya Savaşı sırasında, Türk ordusuyla, Rus Ordusu Türkiye'nin Kars ilinin Sarıkamış ilçesinde karşılaşmış, çetin geçen bu savaşta Osmanlı İmparatorluğunun yaptığı yanlış savaş taktiği yüzünden, bir çok askerimiz donarak şehit olmuştur. Bu olayın müzedeki yansıması tüyler içeren görsellerle anlatılmaya ve yaşatılmaya çalışılmış olması da kanımızı dondurmaya yetiyordu.
Finally, I would like to show you the last scene in the last part of the museum, where the audience could not hold back their tears. The picture below shows the room of a soldier who was martyred in the war, arranged in his mother's hearth. Anyone who looks at this room with a painful background music can't control the tears in their eyes.
Son olarak sizlere müzenin son bölümünde yer alan ve bakanların gözyaşlarını tutamadığı son sahneyi göstermek istiyorum. Aşağıdaki resim, savaşta şehit olan bir askerimizin anne ocağında düzenlenmiş odası gösterilmektedir. Acılı bir fon müziğiyle bu odaya bakan herkes, gözlerinin yaşlarını hakim olamıyor.
