Ephesus Ancient City// Efes Antik Kenti

Hello everyone, friends. I would like to talk about our trip to the Ancient City of Ephesus, which we carried out with our friends in the past days. We came here before with some friends. Our visit this time was a trip we made to show our friends this place again. It was a trip we enjoyed as we already love to visit historical places. 🏛️

The Ancient City of Ephesus was one of the twelve city-states of Ionia during the Classical Greek period. Its foundation dates back to the Neolithic Age. Ephesus Ancient City. The structure that impressed me the most in this ancient city, which was spread over a very large area, was indisputably the Ancient Theatre. Although it does not preserve its integrity as much as Aspendos, it is still quite majestic and strikingly beautiful with its magnificent stance.🎭

Efes Antik Kenti, Klasik Yunan döneminde İyonya'nın on iki şehir devletinden biriymiş. Kuruluşu Cilalı Taş Devrine(Neolitik Dönem) kadar uzanmaktaymış. Efes Antik Kenti. 🎭

The other part of this ancient city, which has quite different parts, that I liked the most and attracted the attention of tourists was the Celsius Library. The columns of the entrance are still intact. And it attracts incredible attention with its sculptures in front of it. One of the sections where tourists took photos and chatted the most was this library and the statues in front of it. Speaking of tourists, the Ancient City of Ephesus is indeed one of the most popular historical buildings of the year. On this trip, we saw that mostly Asian tourists visit this place. It makes me very happy to see tourists from the Far East and Asia. I even had a Korean friend at university, they are very sweet and sympathetic people🥰😍

There was another place in the ancient city of Ephesus that could be entered by paying an extra fee in a separate area. This section was called Slope Houses. I think there is still excavation work going on here. However, I don't understand why it costs extra. I remember talking about our friends earlier. They have a little daughter named Ahsen. She really is an incredibly active and cute little girl. 👧👧🏻 That's why they were behind us in some places. Since we were moving very slowly, we did not have the opportunity to visit the Slope Houses section. 🚶🏻‍♀️🚶🏻‍♂️

Tombs and sarcophagi also draw attention with their chest-like appearance. As far as I read on the information board, these tombs and sarcophagi were found during the excavations in Ephesus and Selcuk, and they are moved here and exhibited here. More ram and bull figures were used in the exterior decorations of the sarcophagi here. This made me think that people at the time believed in an afterlife.⚰️🪦

Thank you so much for reading today's post. Bye bye 💫 🌼💐🌻🌸💮✨
