When I visited a friend, I was very surprised to see the cats living in their office. My amazement is not at cats, of course. I was surprised that the cats we mostly housed were in an accounting office this time. These are the cats owned by Mr. Hamdi, the owner of the company. Later, after breeding, their number increased to five. The most important effect of loving animals on people is that it reinforces the feeling of compassion. A sense of compassion that cannot be explained or reinforced by just animal love. This is compassion for every living creature. Compassion is felt even for things. At a time when I had the opportunity to read a lot of books a while ago, this was a thought that occurred to me after reading a lot of books. 'He who does not feel compassion for things or matter will not feel compassion for people either.' Of course, many people have come to the world who are on this idea. However, a person who despises the things he uses around him, the vehicles he rides, the simple things at home, many things he doesn't care about when he goes out, and the packaging of the materials he consumes, is a person whose heart has started to harden and is inclined to break the hearts of others.
You know, when some crimes are committed in our society that we can't understand... The last of these was the murder of artist Onur Şener, whom we have been living with recently. Unfortunately, people who have a hard heart, have no compassion for anything, have hardness in their hearts, and try to show themselves brave in simple things, unfortunately, such people can be more active in society. A murderer's crime can frighten forty good people. But sometimes what a good person does does not have an effect even on the second person, unfortunately!

Bir arkadaşımı ziyaretimde, ofislerinde yaşayan kedileri görünce çok şaşırdım. Şaşkınlığım kedilere değil tabi. Çoğunlukla evlerimizde barındırdığımız kedilerin bu sefer bir muhasebe ofisinde olması beni şaşırttı. Şirket sahibi Hamdi Bey'in sahiplendiği kediler bunlar. Daha sonra yavruladıktan sonra sayıları beşe çıkmış. Hayvan sevmenin insan üzerindeki en önemli etkisi şefkat duygusunu pekiştirmesidir. Sadece hayvan sevgisiyle anlatılmaz veya pekişmez şefkat duygusu. Yaratılmış her canlıya duyulan bir şefkattir bu. Eşyaya dahi şefkat duyulur. Bir süre önce çok kitap okuma imkanı bulduğum bir dönemde, çok kitap okuduktan sonra bende oluşan bir düşünce olmuştu bu. 'Eşyaya, maddeye şefkat duymayan insana da şefkat duymaz.' Elbette bu düşünce üzerinde olan çok kişi gelmiştir dünyaya. Ancak çevresinde kullandığı eşyalara, bindiği araçlara, evdeki basit şeylere, dışarda giderken umursamadığı birçok şeye ve tükettiği malzemelerin ambalajlarına hor davranan kişi, kalbi katılaşmaya başlamış, başkalarının da kalbini kırmaya meyilli kişidir.
Hani toplumumuzda anlayamadığımız bazı suçlar işlenir ya... Bunların sonuncusu maalesef son dönemde yaşadığımız sanatçı Onur Şener cinayeti oldu. Ne yazık ki kalbi katı kalmış, hiçbir şeye şefkat göstermemiş insanların kalplerinde katılık birikmiş, basit şeylerde kendilerini yürekli göstermeye çalışan bu tarz insanlar maalesef toplumda daha etkin olabiliyor. Bir caninin işlediği suç kırk iyi insanı korkutabiliyor. Ama bazen bir iyi insanın yaptığı şey ikinci insanda bile tesir uyandırmıyor ne yazık ki!
Perhaps it is better for people to take care of cats at work than at home. Because the most stressful hours are business hours. And it's nice to have something there to soften you up. Since there may be children in the house in general, there are things that can cause people to stay mild-mannered at home. Compassion is perhaps the emotion that our society needs most. Of course, compassion should not be shown to the oppressor. Mercy to the oppressor is betrayal to the oppressed. When an oppressor is shown mercy, he turns to you and oppresses you, even demanding his right.
Animals are not creatures that were created only for the balance of the ecosystem, as it is thought. The real ecosystem is that humans can live in harmony with animals. Animals did not have so many problems in the world when there was no human. They created living environments suitable for their own temperament. Man was not sent into the world simply as a result of punishment. The main purpose of sending was to test. First of all, they had not yet committed crimes against each other. First, they learned to live in harmony with nature and living things. The next is known.
İnsanın çalıştığı yerde kedilerle ilgilenmesi belki de evde ilgilenmesinden daha güzeldir. Çünkü stresin en yoğun olabileceği saatler iş saatleridir. Ve orada sizi yumuşatacak bir şeylerin bulunması güzel bir şeydir. Zaten genel olarak evde çocuklar bulunabileceği için insanı evde yumuşak huylu kalmasına sebep olabilecek şeyler vardır. Şefkat belki de bizim toplumumuzun en çok ihtiyacı olan duygudur. Elbette ki zulmedene şefkat duyulmamalıdır. Zalime merhamet mazluma ihanettir. Zalim bir insana merhamet edilince döner size de zulmeder ve hakkını dahi ister.
Hayvanlar sanıldığı gibi sadece ekosistem dengesi için yaratılmış canlılar değildir. Asıl ekosistem insanın hayvanlarla uyum içerisinde yaşayabilmesidir. İnsan yok iken dünyada hayvanların bu kadar derdi yoktu. Kendi mizaçlarına uygun yaşama ortamlarını oluşturmuşlardı. İnsan dünyaya sadece bir cezalandırma sonucu olarak gönderilmedi. Asıl gönderiliş gayesi imtihandı. İlk olarak birbirlerine karşı suç işlememişlerdi henüz. Önce doğa ve canlılarla uyum içerisinde yaşamayı öğrendiler. Sonrası malum zaten.
Resources of compassion are needed in the real workplace. It may be in an animal, it may be in another material. That's why I loved having my friends feed cats in their office and spend all day amongst them.
