OLD BARN № 095

This barn reminds me a bit of a country church. With the second-level being a narrow portion down the center of the structure, it almost looks like a bell tower, at first glance. Oddly, it is located along a country road named West Church Road. 😂

Since the hay loft is so narrow, there must only be room for the smaller sized bales of hay rather than the larger ones. That might mean that the landowner only keeps small livestock such as goats, or maybe he only has a couple of cows or horses. I didn't see any animals in the adjacent pasture the day I drove past, but they might have been in a another pasture nearby. Or, perhaps this is no longer a 'working farm' or maybe the landowner is between stock when I went past.

The following screenshot from Pinmapple.com shows the location of the barn. It was fortunate that this barn is relatively close to the read.

For the purists who like seeing the original shots, here is the unedited photo of that day. The sun was behind the barn, so the front size is dark. There is also an annoying photo-bomb by a limb in the upper-right, coming from a tree beside the road. If I had gotten out of the car, I might could have eliminated the limb in the shot, but I was rather pressed for time that day. This barn would really be best-photographed during early morning, or maybe even on an overcast day when the light is better.

This is a quiet little country road, and there is a very large wooded area behind the barn. It is a lovely drive through the country, and there are more barns down this road! Stay tuned for a short (but cute!) story about one of them!
