A mask or masks is a piece normally decorated that hides all or part of the face. Masks have been used since ancient times for ceremonial and practical purposes.
The word "mask" comes from the French masque or maschera in Italian or masquera in Spanish. Possible ancestors in Latin (not classical) are mascus, masca = "ghost," and the Arabic maskharah = "jester," "man with a mask.

Many things go through my head on days like these. Some are around (in my mind) and some are on my face.

The life that was half normal before, turned around, and became different, altering all our habits, customs, manias.

Things that we used to do in a normal, ordinary way and that today, became different, like the fact of wearing an obligatory mask on our face, for health reasons.

Masks are objects used to cover the face. They can be for various uses.

Since ancient times, and normally in carnival times, in many countries masks are used for Carnival, a pagan festival in which we have a lot of fun dressing up and playing at being other characters, going out to party, in short, doing what human beings like best, that is, celebrating life.

Masks are also used in times like Halloween, days of terror (so they say).

Masks with terror motives to scare because it is a time to instill fear, although many, as children, use this time to have fun trick-or-treating at the doors of their neighborhood (I think I like the last idea better, I better go with the children, hahaha).

Others who wear masks are superheroes. Remember Batman and those who used to meet with him to fight for justice? They also wear masks to cover their faces and not be discovered in their natural identity by the villains.

The mask is part of the current lifestyle and daily clothing, something that will remain for a long time marking our lives because this virus came to stay a good time and therefore, we must continue to fight to preserve us intact and enjoy so many beautiful things that life has, including being ourselves.

A mask can pretend to cover the face so that you look different and sometimes they cannot recognize you, but it will never hide your inner essence.

Use masks to take care of yourself, masks to have fun, and be yourself always, with your heart open to the world, show yourself just as you are, without masks or fears.
