Hola amigos, espero se encuentren muy bien!

En esta oportunidad quiero contarles cómo me fue esta semana en una actividad de trabajo voluntario que se está haciendo en el trabajo de mi esposo. Como ya se ha difundido en las redes sociales y en los noticieros de varios paises, Rio Grande del Sur en Brasil ha sido afectado por una inundación que lamentablemente ha traido desastres en varias ciudades del estado.

Con ello muchas personas perdieron todo, solo pudieron salir con vida de casa, muchos con la ropa del cuerpo solamente. Otros infelizmente fueron arrazados por la corriente pues nunca pensaron que iria ocurrir una inundación así, pensaban que el agua se iba a retirar y ocurrio todo lo contrario, el agua crecio a niveles no vistos hace unnos 83 años según he escuchado decir a varias personas.

Muchos desabrigados estan refugiados en gimnacios y otros sitos que se han disponibilizado para que los que no tienen familiares donde acudir y tener donde pasar la noche bajo un techo. Estas personas están es estado de carencia extrema y es por eso que en la empresa donde trabaja mi esposo, el dueño decidió ayudar un poco a estas personas con un plato de comida.

In this opportunity I want to tell you how I did this week in a volunteer work activity that is being done at my husband's work. As it has already been spread in the social networks and in the news of several countries, Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil has been affected by a flood that unfortunately has brought disasters in several cities of the state.

With it many people lost everything, they could only get out of the house alive, many with only their body clothes. Others were unhappily swept away by the current because they never thought that such a flood would occur, they thought that the water would recede and the opposite happened, the water rose to levels not seen for 83 years, according to what I have heard from several people.

Many homeless people are sheltered in gymnasiums and other places that have been made available for those who have no family to go to and have a place to spend the night under a roof. These people are in a state of extreme need and that is why in the company where my husband works, the owner decided to help these people a little with a plate of food.

Se ha organizado con ayuda de voluntarios, en hacer desayunos almuerzos y cenas para las personas que necesiten. El día que fui a apoyar hicimos sanduiches como desayuno y de almuerzo arroz, caraota, polenta y carne molida, pudieron salir mas de 550 platos de comida.

En la mañana preparamos casi 350 sanduiches, a los que le colocamos mortalela y queso.

It has been organized with the help of volunteers to make breakfasts, lunches and dinners for people in need. The day I went to help, we made sanduiches for breakfast and rice, caraota, polenta and ground beef for lunch, we were able to make more than 550 plates of food.

In the morning we prepared almost 350 sanduiches, to which we added mortalela and cheese.

Para la preparación de estos utilizamos gorros y guantes para cuidar que todo fuese con la debida higiene. Luego que estuvieron listas todas las comidads tambien se organizó un equipo para llevar estas comidas. Yo al final me sentí contenta de poder ayudar un poco en esta actividadtan bonita y poder colaborar tras bastidores a dar un poco de alivio a estas personas que se encuentran en estado tan vulnerable.

Se estima que unas 600mil personas están dagnificadas en este momento, así que cualquier ayuda cuenta para estas personas, creo que todos podemos colaborar de alguna manera asi sea poco, les estaré dando más detalles en los proximos días!.

For the preparation of these meals we used hats and gloves to make sure that everything was hygienic. After all the meals were ready, we also organized a team to take these meals. At the end I was happy to be able to help a little in this beautiful activity and to be able to collaborate behind the scenes to give a little relief to these people who are in such a vulnerable state.

It is estimated that some 600,000 people are homeless at the moment, so any help counts for these people, I think we can all help in some way even if it is a little, I will be giving you more details in the next few days.
