HoneyComb: HIVE WALLET

WOW!! Another Wallet!

As is customary for any new interface on Hive I was obligated to create a wallet interface for HoneyComb/Hive/Hive-Engine. I'm pretty happy with where it stands at the moment and gives everyone the same features that most of the browser based wallets have. Of course HoneyComb is far more than another Wallet, it is an interface and service for locally installed games and applications that want to interface with Hive and other decentralized services without needing to bother with web browser interfaces forced into the application and breaking the flow of the interface.

I plan on using HoneyComb in all my game and app projects going forward using the needs of those projects to guide the development using real world needs.

Next Steps

The Vault

little barren at the moment isn't it?

The vault is HoneyComb's local store for NFT data. Because its handled within HoneyComb we can add and delete the data as it is bought and sold keeping the legitimacy of the purchase intact. Bare in mind, the current plan is to have many media formats playable / viewable within the Vault, but nothing will work as well as a complete dedicated solution. Thankfully, the HoneyComb interface will be able to share the media to anything that requests the data making that possible.

However, the fun doesn't stop there. Like the Wallet the Vault will support Hive-Engine NFTs as well, and I hope to open a dialog with various projects already using Hive-Engine to make sure everyone is included at the table and more importantly find a way we can work together to bring more people to our respective projects.

Framed

Now that I have everything in HoneyComb's back end service needed to pull and put data securely on Hive. I will be able to integrate Framed into Hive the way I had intended. This includes a proper login, proper hive-engine / nftshowroom api calls, and the possibility of offering a curation mode that will pay collectors that allow others to view their work on other user's devices. Of course, I don't know if that will be well received, but during testing I would use other Hive accounts and miss seeing the amazing art already collected by others via @nftshowroom, and giving a little back to the curator (the person who bought the piece) would be a good way to encourage them to buy more...maybe?

Games

Those that follow me know that I love me some video games, and even more so I love me some innovative ways to deliver them. Before the initial release of HoneyComb I should have most of the tools integrated into the background service to streamline that development, and if done right, be on par with services that offer similar network back-ends, but in a decentralized manner. Vague Entertainment is working on two titles at this moment that will use HoneyComb to its fullest which I hope will sell the concept to anyone wanting to make a block-chain game that isn't at all about the block-chain, and everything about the game.
