A good opportunity to reflect on issues that underline our levels of tolerance, empathy, and acceptance of the self and other's views. This QOTW promises to explore our ability to discern shades in a color that lends itself to camouflage.
What is a judgment for you and what is racism? Do/should we share a common definition of these terms? Do you think we generally understand what the difference is between judgment and observation?

Observation vs Judgement: Do you know the difference?

Humans are such complicated beings that when there are no points to a good discussion, we argue with ourselves about topics that reveal us internally and tone down our lights and shadows. Therefore, it is difficult to define the line that separates a judgment from an observation because they are intermingled and will appear to be what emerges in the optics of the receiver.

Many times, we want to express our point of view with no more encouragement than to make a simple comment, about a simple situation and a bomb of negative emotions explodes more because of misinterpretations than because of bad intentions. And we are astonished by the destructive power that some badly combined words generate at a time when our dictionary did not succeed in emitting the right meaning to a feeling.

Consequently, there will always be mistakes in the emission and interpretation. Each head is a world in a giant energetic space that is dwarfed by the low vibrations so common in living environments. It is very easy to dignify it, but difficult to live it and control it.

That is why its level of influence is lost sight of and grows until it creates existentialist chaos, macro frictions capable of distancing friends, families, communities, nations; creating knots of divergence and hate that only Love is capable of untying, if given the opportunity. Nevertheless, many times the passage of time without traces of acceptance and forgiveness creates insurmountable distances and feelings that are darkened like new moons.

One day was made behind the other to create bridges of encounters, rectifications, restarts. Life contains everything: what we consider good and what we consider bad, which in the end are observations based on what we create judgments. Our values are based on our judgments and these in turn, on the observations of our ancestors and on our own, generated by what the tide of life brings to us. But we can intervene to improve the situation, not everything escapes our intention and action: if we want to bathe in the waters of serenity and fullness, we must calm our winds. Many times, circumstances lead us to navigate in turbulent waters with no more than our reactions altered by extreme experiences.

Reconciling incongruities between expression and interpretation requires inner peace, love, acceptance, and forgiveness. We are wonderfully different beings and it is those differences that make us unique and valuable. We are more tolerant, receptive, and humble; in that we are less reactive, demanding, and arrogant. The word is a weapon of great power and, if it cuts, it does so with a double edge. It is up to us to discern and accept that we use them for all the purposes created for them, even if we do not always notice how sharp and pungent an observation can be, apparently free of judgment. We are as good as we see ourselves and as evil as others sometimes see us. The reason is that we are not perfect and the same reason is elusive and dual, sometimes.

From observation to judgment there is a step as long or as short as that of peace and war, always hanging by a fine thread that can weave a web of confusion or love, depending on the acuity of the senses involved and the perception of the intentions captured. Within each of us is peace and war, if we want peace, we can use our gifts of generosity, healing, and forgiveness, and if we want to hurt, too. It is always possible to move towards paths of reconciliation and love if the goal is happiness.

Our journey into the night is not exempt from its storms, we need them for our growth and we must learn to see them as something necessary to value calm. All the beings of the universe are fighting some battle at this very moment, let's respect each one's time and their struggle, even if it seems small or exaggerated, let's not forget that it is only our perception and it is biased by our values and judgments.

In response to @ecotrain in eco train Question Of The Week #13: Observation vs Judgement: Do you know the difference?

I apologize for the late response, but the internet signal has become very poor where I live preventing me from actively participating in Hive and my beloved Ecotrain community.
