Undoubtedly it is an unlimited horizon the one raised this week by @ecotrain by leaving us free to choose the topic to be addressed, the exercise invites us to a reflection that pushes us to visualize various dismal scenarios because this is how these times move in which several evils cohabit together, blurring the crystal of the future, that one that slips away from us between anxiety and despair, seeing how the flow of the river of faith and hope for better times is narrowing.
In this time of pandemic that has forced the world to lower its head in the face of designs that escape normal control, another evil has been triggered globally, the diaspora, so free and natural in ancient times, as fenced in and condemned today.
Whether we like it or not, the uncertainty and fear of contagion suffered from the changes imposed by the Covid pandemic and the social distancing, have made us be others, being still the same in the background.
Diasporas
The basic and acquired needs are imposed and the desire to improve the conditions of life derived from the socio-economic and/or political circumstances in many countries have created a scourge that discomposes the spirit when contemplating the viralization of scenes of xenophobia as cruel as unjust for all those involved.
Many borders, from containment walls, have evolved into battlefields where one side struggles to enter a country where they do not want to receive them due to multiple factors that it is not the case to discern in this short writing, and another side rejects with hostile and vexatious methods those who, by dint of living badly or surviving in their own countries, prefer to expose their lives, as is the case, in full development, of what center-south-American and Caribbean migrants are suffering when trying to cross the borders of the United States.
As a Venezuelan, I feel this issue of the diasporas in my own flesh, because Venezuelans have long been "citizens of the world", scattered all over the face of the earth due to the entrenchment of a political current that has taken over the country and has become cancer with metastasis in other neighboring nations.
However, I believe that we are so far down the ladder that leads to other latitudes, that our struggle is not to cross over to the United States specifically like that of other Latin Americans and Caribbeans.
Concretely, to me it is painful to observe these human caravans that leave on foot to travel the route to an uncertain future in the United States, a country that has its own problems and does not want to receive more migrants, leaving many stranded in Mexico, that is also unwilling or unable to bear the burden of the swarm of worker bees that want to seek asylum in order not to be deported, as in the case of the Haitian citizens, mistreated and repelled by the force of whipping, as shown in the images that went around the world, where agents on horseback prevented them from advancing on U.S. soil.
In this case, as in so many others, cruelty showed its teeth in such a blatant and inhuman way that even the President of the United States made a statement on social networks, apparently dismayed:
I'm heartbroken by the treatment of Haitian migrants at our border - and I acknowledge it is only the latest of many historic indignities that Haitians have faced. And, in the end, the issue has become so politicized that it has been transitorily resolved with different options:
- The makeshift camp in the Texas town of Del Rio, where thousands of migrants were sheltering, has been vacated as of this Friday. Many of the Haitians who had started their journey to the United States were deported or decided to return to Mexico. Thousands of others have been able to enter U.S. territory, but are awaiting a hearing with a judge to determine if they can remain in the United States.
Human Citizens
Today, it is Haitians, Central Americans, Ecuadorians, Venezuelans, and many other South Americans who lead the migration flow in the Americas.
But, in reality, it is a global phenomenon turned into an evil that, instead of descending in the scale of departures of people who see as fertile another horizon for their aspirations to transform their lives, ascends as the only escape for those who wish to "transcend the geopolitical division that is inherent to the national citizenships of the different States and sovereign countries", to become Universal Citizens who, although, at a disadvantage due to the circumstances that accompany them, it could be said that most of them are creative people and proactive. Good people wanting to add and not subtract, even though conditions are adverse because there is overpopulation on the planet.
I join the idea of people who assume borders and other instruments of separation of human beings as artificial and arbitrary. It must be recognized that the ethical duties of migrants and natives are not limited by borders, but rather by feelings and rights that are common to all human beings, because all, as persons, must be respected, and their physical integrity protected and secured.
It is important our bond of nationality and ethnicity, but also that of inhabitants of the Earth, that of species, that of humans and, above all, of the LOVE that must prevail among all as an energetic bond...We do not talk about it enough.
Sin duda es un horizonte ilimitado el planteado esta semana por @ecotrain al dejarnos libertad de elegir el tema a tratar, el ejercicio nos invita a una reflexión que nos empuja a visualizar diversos panoramas funestos porque así se mueven estos tiempos en el que cohabitan entre sí varios males empañando el cristal del porvenir, ése que se nos escurre entre la ansiedad y la desesperanza, viendo cómo se estrecha el caudal del río de la fe y la esperanza de tiempos mejores.
En este tiempo de pandemia que ha obligado al mundo a bajar la cabeza ante designios que escapan del control normal, se ha disparado otro mal en forma global, la diáspora, tan libre y natural en la atigûedad, como cercada y condenada en la actualidad.
Quiérase o no, la incertidumbre y miedo al contagio padecidos con los cambios impuestos por la pandemia de Covid y el distanciamiento social, han hecho que seamos otros, siendo aún los mismos en el fondo.
Diásporas
Las necesidades básicas y adquiridas se imponen y las ganas de mejorar las condiciones de vida derivadas de las circunstancias socio-económicas y/o políticas en muchos países han creado un flagelo que descompone el espíritu al contemplar la viralización de escenas de xenofobia tan crueles como injustas para todos los implicados.
Muchas fronteras, de muros de contención, han evolucionado a campos de batalla donde un bando pugna por entrar a un país donde no los quieren recibir por múltiples factores, que no es el caso discernir en este breve escrito, y otro bando rechaza con métodos hostiles y vejatorios a quienes a fuerza de mal vivir o sobrevivir en sus propios países, prefieren exponer la vida, como es el caso, en pleno desarrollo, de lo que están padeciendo migrantes americanos y del Caribe al tratar de cruzar las fronteras de Estados Unidos.
Como venezolana, siento en carne propia este tema de la diáspora, porque los venezolanos somos desde hace tiempo "ciudadanos del mundo", regados por toda la faz de la tierra debido al enquistamiento de una corriente política que se apoderó del país y se ha transformado en un cáncer con metástasis en otras naciones vecinas. Sin embargo, creo que estamos tan abajo de la escalera que conduce hacia otras latitudes, que nuestra lucha no es por cruzar hacia Estados Unidos específicamente como la de otros latinoamericanos y caribeños.
Concretamente, a mí me da dolor observar esas caravanas humanas que salen a pie a recorrer la ruta hacia un futuro incierto en Estados Unidos, un país que tiene sus propios problemas y no quiere recibir más migrantes, quedando muchos varados en México, país que tampoco quiere o puede sostener más la carga que supone el enjambre de abejitas obreras que quieren asilarse para no ser deportados, como es el caso de los ciudadanos haitianos, maltratados y repelidos a fuerza de latigazos, como mostraron las imágenes que dieron la vuelta al mundo, donde agentes a caballo les impedían avanzar en suelo estadounidense.
En este caso, la crueldad mostró sus dientes en forma tan descarada e inhumana que hasta el Presidente de Estados Unidos se pronunció por las redes sociales, aparentemente consternado:
Estoy desconsolado por el trato que reciben los migrantes haitianos en nuestra frontera, y reconozco que es sólo la última de las muchas indignidades históricas a las que se han enfrentado los haitianos. Al final, este asunto se ha politizado tanto que se ha resuelto transitoriamente con diferentes opciones:
El campamento improvisado en la ciudad texana de Del Río, en donde se refugiaban miles de migrantes, se encuentra desocupado desde este viernes. Muchos de los haitianos que habían emprendido su viaje a Estados Unidos fueron deportados o decidieron regresar a México. Otros miles han podido entrar al territorio estadounidense, pero esperan una audiencia con un juez para determinar si pueden permanecer en dicho país.

Ciudadanos Humanos
Hoy, son los haitianos, los centroamericanos, los ecuatorianos, los venezolanos y muchos otros suramericanos los que encabezan el flujo migratorio en el continente americano. Pero, en realidad es un fenómeno global convertido en mal que, en lugar de descender en la escala de salidas de la gente que mira como fértil otro horizonte para sus aspiraciones de transformar su vida, asciende como única escapatoria para los desean "trascender la división geopolítica que es inherente a las ciudadanías nacionales de los diferentes Estados y países soberanos", para convertirse en Ciudadanos Universales que, aunque en desventaja por las circunstancias que los acompañan, pudiera decirse que la mayoría son personas creativas y proactivas. Gente buena queriendo sumar y no restar, aunque las condiciones sean adversas porque hay superpoblación en el planeta.
Me sumo a la idea de la gente que asume las fronteras y otros instrumentos de separación de los seres humanos como artificiales y arbitrarios. Hay que reconocer que los deberes éticos de los migrantes y de los nativos no están limitados por fronteras, sino más bien por sentimientos y derechos que son comunes a todos los seres humanos, porque todos, en cuanto personas, deben ser respetados, y su integridad física protegida y asegurada.
Es importante nuestro vínculo de nacionalidad y etnicidad, pero también el de habitantes de la Tierra, el de especie, el de humanos y, sobre todo, del AMOR que debe prevalecer entre todos como lazo energético... De eso, no se habla suficiente.
