QUESTION OF THE WEEK 10.6 - What we should be eating to be healthy and vibrant

In this present age and in line with current realities, it is pretty difficult for one to say that there is an existent list of foods that one should eat to be healthy because of the varieties and breeding of the food we eat. if it isn't GMO it is fertilizer planted and this automatically nullifies the purpose of healthy foods but nonetheless there has been the existent of certain classes of food that have been proven over the years to be packed with the nutrition the body needs.

On the top of my personal list of healthy foods to eat are vegetables.
Vegetable: From my little experience in agricultural science and food technology, there isn't any vegetable present in the world today that isn't packed with nutrients that aid the healthy body growth and functionality of our organs to be optimal and in good shape.
The benefits of consuming vegetables as food is numerous and cannot be over emphasized. Scientists, nutritionists and food technologists over the years have tested and proven that consuming vegetable in reasonable proportions has proven healthy to the body system. Vegetables is known to be packed with a plethora of nutrients that nourishes the body, improves the bowel movement as it is rich in fibre, lowers blood pressure amongst other things.
However, the above is Majorly only true about home grown vegetables and not vegetables grown with unhealthy fertilizers.
Inasmuch as Vegetables are packed with healthy nutrients, it shouldn't be the only food to be consumed as it is rich in carbohydrates and low in protein and healthy fats thus it does not make for a balanced meal. In elementary science about food, we were socialized to understand that a balanced diet comprises of all classes of food in adequate proportion.

The second on the list of foods to eat to stay healthy and vibrant are fruits.
Fruits Call me a man of nature and i would answer you appropriately. Our cities and villages are ridden with various toxins existing in different forms, from the smoke generated by machines to the heat of cars, the different bacteria existing on surfaces in the atmosphere , on our skin etc and the only way to keep this things at bay from affecting us individually or bringing down our healthy body is to consume healthy foods not only as a matter of necessity because we have to eat but because this foods preforms functions more than just to fill our stomach but to work overtime on our organs which are the machines that enables our individual existence.
One of the major benefits of eating fruits is that it boosts and strengthens our immune system which is the summation of the reason why we call ourselves healthy. as long you have a vibrant and active immune system, you have an healthy body.
Fruits not only help boost the immune system, it helps to replenish the skin by supplying nutrients needed for skin to grow and replace dead skin cells. This are few out of the numerous benefits of eating fruits. Unlike vegetables, fruits can be eaten alone and without fear of adverse effects. However, just like vegetables, to reap the benefits of eating fruits is dependent on growing your fruits yourself as GMO foods and Unhealthy fertilizer produced fruits are dominating the market.

The Third most important food on my list is Water
Water this is not necessarily a food but it ranks as par as a food even higher than any other class of food. There is a common saying that goes thus "Water is life", this simply means that the absence of water is basically the absence of life. In order to stay healthy and vibrant one must consume not less than 2 litres of water daily to remain refreshed and hydrated. Science has proven that one can do without food for days but one cannot do without water as that is the summation of life itself.
No matter how rich in nutrients your food or delicacy is , you still need to put water side by side while eating to aid proper digestion held boost the oxygen within the body.

I would close my submission with a note saying that all classes of food are important and healthy for the body if they are consumed in the proper proportions and the best food one needs to stay healthy and vibrant is a Balanced diet containing all classes of food without leaving anyone out and of course with water inclusive.
